While teammates Joe Johnson and Quentin Richardson await word on whether they will be asked to participate in the three-point contest, Stoudemire is not expected to be invited for that competition, despite a strong showing against Suns assistant coaches Marc Iavaroni and Alvin Gentry after his spectacular practice dunk. </div> Link I don't know about this one, I am excited to have one of our own in the dunk contest but the last time he did it he did bad. It revealed that he was a power dunker and not one of those guys that can do a off the backboard, Vince Carter dunk. I just hope he doesn't get hurt.
Amare needs to hold the ball more firmly this time around. Two years ago, he lost because he had used a retry on his first dunk and missed the second dunk. Had he made both dunks fluidly, he would have had a chance of getting into the Finals, as both were spectacular.
I still wanna see what he can do... dont worry about the injury possibilities. It would suck, but its not going to happen. Nash should own the skills comp too. How could he not be asked to be in it?
