In the wake of LeBron's dunk on D. Jones what is the best dunk youve ever seen. Im not including all-star or charity dunks(vince carter's windmill of an oop in charity game might be #1) but you may choose to. IMO the best dunks are dunks right on somone posterizing them. Right now i'd have to say this is my top 5: (in no particualr order) -LeBron's dunk on Jones -Jordan's double clutch cradle rock -VC french toast(jumping over 7'2" French center in Olympics) -Kobe's reverse 180 on Knicks last year -LeBron's dunk on Bobcats (Flight23 dunk)
I don't think any of LeBron James' dunks are top 5 EVER He had some nice dunks this season but think about all of the years before him. Surely you can't think that is the best dunk EVER. Btw, Shouldn't this be in the NBA section? Ricky Davis on Steve Nash=Better Kobe in finals against Nets=Better Every single dunk on Patrick Ewing =Better McGrady All-Star game dunks=Better McGrady from freethrow line=Better Kobe against Nuggets=Better All of the dunks VC did in 2000 dunk contest=Better There are literally hundreds of more dunks that are better than that. Sure it was a good dunk but, don't overrate it!
LeBron's dunk is absolutly ill, but it ain't top 5. Two quick things though: -There has been multiple threads about this topic. All you have to do is use the search button. -This thread belongs in the Video/Movies/Dunks subforum, in the Other Basketball section.
is it just me or is everybody else starting to notice that most lebron fans think his dunks/or plays compare with the all time greats. I love the guy too but his plays this year are not even in the top 10 plays of all time. don' overrate.. you also have to remember all of nique's dunks on people. More powerful and nastiers than Lebon's. And why is this in the Cavs forum?
That dunk probably isn't even in the Top 50 All-time lol, I don't even think that was Lebron's best dunk. It was Damon Jones, and he didn't really dunk over him, just on him.

Whoever does a list of top dunks without <font color="Red">Dr. J or Dominique Wilkins</font> clearly hasnt done their homework. Btw Lebron's dunk on Damon Jones is NOT one of the best ever. It was nasty, but it was on Damon Jones for crying out loud.
Wow...not even close to a top 10 dunk. People got posterized like that quite often..Amare does it, Kobe does it (Yao, Dwight Howard), and Ricky practically jumped over Steve Nash.
Actually Lebron's dunk in the bobcat game was better. Just cause I've never seen somebody way above the rim like that.

That dunk was sick but you can't put it in any top 5, top 10 or whatever. Michael Jordan, Dr.J, Dominique Wilkins, Spud Webb and I even like Dee Brown's closedn eyes dunk better than that dunk. People get posterized almost every day, it's nothing that special. But LeBron will make the top 10 list in the future.
