Title says it all, VC took it to the pistons and the pistons couldn't stop him. He had season highs in points, rebounds, and freethrows. Kidd also dropped 14 assists in the game.
im so pissed i was spoce to go to that game!!!! but my grades are bad so my mom never ordered the tickets. (even though the only reason i wanted to go to that specific game was to see jojo afterwards)
Carter's paid his dues...Vinsanity is back*, this is front page news. Huge game by Vince. He could of scored 50, but Frank did the proffesional thing by taking him out with 5+ Minutes left. 41 Points, 11 REB, 5 AST, 2 STL, 2 BS...All this against one of the, if not the best, defense in the league. How bout the Frontcourt? They did a good job containing the Wallaces. Jabari, Nenad and Collins combine to go 13-14 from the Field, 9 Rebounds(not really impressive)...but the limited the Wallaces to 14 boards in 64 combined minutes. <font size="1">* Not the dunking machine Vinsanity...The scoring one, top player in the league one...well he's getting there, but you know.</font>
I saw that game. Vince was unstoppable and made the pistons look like your local junior college team. Good Luck to all the New jersey fans. I hope when jefferson comes back they are even better! I only saw the forth quarter every body and if u saw the game, what happenedto his eye?

Wow, that surprising, not the Vince 41, but the fact that the Nets blew out the Pistons, really impressive game by Vince though, not only with the scoring, but also the 11 rebound, 5 assists, and 2 steals and blocks.
One of those games where everything dropped for the Nets. They played near prefect basketball. Vince just couldn't be stopped. It's happens...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Banks:</div><div class="quote_post">lol yeah I heard that too...which Wallace? Hopefully not Sheed, cuz they're Tar Heel Brothers.</div> Ben, but apparently that wasn't vince's motivation, and he had no ill intent. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Carter seized the momentum after he was smacked in the arm by Ben Wallace as he drove for a layup midway through the third quarter. No foul was called, although Carter was whistled for a personal after he slammed into Wallace on the way back upcourt. Carter said he was merely trying to chase down the referee who hadn't blown his whistle, colliding with Wallace when he cut in front of him. Carter claimed it did not inspire him, and he seemed genuinely surprised to hear how many points he scored in the ensuing run. </div>

He avg an impressive 24/5.4/5.2 with 46%FG and 40%3pt. Todays game only improves on that. If anything, his all star bearth is really deserved this year, and he's having an outstanding season with the nets, and is probably the most important player on that team (or shares that position with kidd at least)
Damn, nice game from Carter. He is playing probably the best injury free basketball since 2002. What happened to his "No Dunking" policy?
Vince told everyone he would shut the haters up, and look what he is doing now.. good to see him back to his superstar level.
A great game by VC indeed, and he was really the main piece to win the game. But of course, it wasn't just him with a great performance. Jabari Smith shot 7-7 from the field, Jason Kidd got 12 points, 14 assists, and 5 rebounds, passing Bob Cousy on the all-time assists leaders chart (12th) and becoming the Nets all-time assist leader, and Jaque Vaughn helped rebound with 5 rebounds, but also had 5 assists and 12 points. Nice job overall by the whole team. And I can't believe nobody mentioned that Zoran and Ron Mercer came back and combined for 8 points.
I was at that game with a group of my friends, and I must say that it was the 4th greatest game Ive been to. Behind only 2 Eastern Confrence clinchers in the playoffs, and Game 3 of the NBA Finals versus the Spurs. You know, the first ever home Finals win by the Nets. The refs got a little out of hand after Carters bump on Big Ben, but they cooled off after a 2 minute rampage of fouls for the Nets. Carter exploded after that with 20 points during a 29-9 run that blew open the game. That win is certainly a morale booster, which comes in good timing. We're 3.5 back of the Celtics for the Atlantic Division lead. And we have Philly, the Lakers, and Spurs coming up this week. Hopefully they can ride this win and make it 4 straight.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">And I can't believe nobody mentioned that Zoran and Ron Mercer came back and combined for 8 points.</div> There's your reason.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting kobimel:</div><div class="quote_post">Hey, Zoran scored 6 in only 8 minutes off the bench, and coming back from an arm injury.</div> Zoran, at least, did that in garbage time, that's why no one cares.
Yes, nobody cares, but at least it shows he's still his old self. It shows the arm injury hasn't changed his future.
