Our pick that was involved in the Murray/Yogi trade which later was swong to Charlotte by Cleveland is top 17 protected. So even if we make the playoffs and end up between 16-14 in the draft we keep the pick.
Their's now worries, even if we make the playoffs, we'd still have fairly bad record, probably about .500 at most, the draft picks are ranked in terms of team record, so we'd have a fairly high pick still. Though I don't think we're making the playoffs anyways, the Atlantic is Boston or Philly's, but if it happens.
So Bobcats get our draft pick if? we get 17-30? I'm confused. Should we tank to guarantee keeping our pick? Isn't this year considered a good draft year? Which team's pick do we get the upcoming draft? And what about the draft after it? Are there any circumstances regarding those picks?
Why would we need to tank? We're not really on pace to make the playoffs anyways, so the likeliness of us losing our pick is about 5%. We have to go on an 8 game win streak, and then maitian a .500 record the rest of the way.
