<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Laker schedule is difficult from now to the end, with many more stays in hotel beds the rest of the way than in recent seasons. But the chance to complain was pushed aside Monday by forward Lamar Odom, who supplied the counter-argument for a finish that has the Lakers on the road for 22 of their last 36 games. "Our schedule was favorable for us," Odom said. "We were supposed to take care of business more at home. "If we did that and won half our games on the road, we'd have been all right." The Lakers are 17-10 at home, 7-12 on the road.</div>Source
I like Odom's attitude and approach. You can throw every odd imaginable at him and the team he plays for and he will make no excuses. This is a great player to have on any team. Now we gotta just step up and atleast go .500 on the road. Odom and Butler will lead the way and Mihm will protect the paint!
The man has a great point, games like against the Hawks are a win-win games. We should have had that one. Making the playoffs will be hard for the Lakers if you dont start winning this kinda of away games. i think it will come down to the last couple of games. Most likely something like this will happen: At the end of the season there will be a game for the Timberwolves and for the Lakers, the sitution will be something like this, if the Timberwolves loose and the Lakers win. The Lakers will go to the playoffs otherwise no off-season for the Lakers. What do u guys think about this? What kind of effect will the Hawks game have on the players'
I love the attitude, it just isn't showing in the games. We simply will not make the playoffs if we can't win against teams like the Hawks...we really need Kobe back.

The Lakers are in a world of hurt losing 3 in a row, especially a give me win last night. It's going to get even harder on their road trip with Detroit, New Jersey, and Cleveland up next. The Lakers need to take 2 out of those 3 games, but I just don't see them pulling it off. Fortunately the TWolves are in a slump, and right now that's the only reason the Lakers are in the playoff hunt. I'm actually more concerned with the way the Clippers are playing. They are winning games with a lot injuries to key players. Once they get fully healthy, they could go on a mini-win streak and put themselves ahead of the Lakers & TWolves. The important thing for the Lakers right is to take 1 game at a time.
The Lakers have yet to go on a run themselves. Every team does it once in the season. I think once Kobe gets back we will go on a run of our own and be right in the thick of it.

They still have not won 3 games in a row the entire season. Do you believe the Lakers can get on a run even on the road? 22 of our final 36 games are on the road.
^It's great that Lamar is showing this kind of attitude here to the press, but why can't he do it in games? Why can't he step up and make sure his team wins? Truthfully, Lamar doesn't care a whole lot whether the Lakers get anywhere. He's just there because he's payed (Millions) for it. I know its not fair for me to say that, and obviously I don't know that for sure.. but that's what he makes me think. If we get Kobe back can we go on a run? I doubt we will win more than 4 games in a row this season, but it could happen and I hope it does. Maybe the Lakers will turn around and end the season with a 10+ run of victories to seal a 7th seed or better in the playoffs. Again, I doubt it. But I guess we'll see. Sorry I haven't been posting much here at JBB lately guys, i've been busy and when I do log on I just read whats going on and leave. I'll try to be more active.
