Does anyone think that an Allen for Kobe will be a good trade? I think it would. There were rumors about this over the summer, I think, not too sure, but I would love to see this trade go down. With AI gone, we would be able to have kobe at SG, AI2 at Sf, willie at pg, (Willie has been really playing well for us this season, especially when he gets more minutes) and kyle korver giving us a spark coming off the bench. For the lakers, AI would give them a decent pg, something the lakers need. The only problem I see with this trade is that kobe gets paid too much, so if this trade gets made, we would probably have to have a throw in, like aaron mckie. But all in all, i think this trade will benefit both teams. I hope it goes down.

    No.

The Lakers can get more than AI honestly. Plus, why would the Lakers trade Kobe when they just signed him to a huge contract?

    No.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">we would be able to have kobe at SG, AI2 at Sf, willie at pg,</div>

Willie Green is a scorer, not a playmaker. And as a proven fact, Iverson and Green can't really mesh well with another on the court simultaneously. Reason being is because Green needs to have the ball in his hands a lot to make something happen. So if Green is tagged along with Kobe whom is another player similar to Iverson that needs the ball a lot?this relationship between Kobe and Green certainly wouldn't work.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">For the lakers, AI would give them a decent pg, something the lakers need.</div>

Not necessarily. One of the primary reasons they need a PG is so that he can feed the ball to Kobe, and Kobe wouldn't have to play the PG/SG at the same time all game along. So with Kobe gone, who would be the SG? Caron Butler is not that bad, but they would need something a little better. Secondly, AI body is banged up as it is, so how long would he last in the West going against Duncan, KG, Dampier etc. on a consistent basis.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">But all in all, i think this trade will benefit both teams.</div>

To be honest, I think it would just make both teams worst.

The only positive I see out of this trade, is that the new cities that both players would be welcomed to would match their personality. Kobe returns home to Philly and Philly has a tough crowd which would compliment Kobe toughness. Also, Kobe wouldn?t be in the spotlight as much, which I think he would find real attractive.

As for Iverson, he goes to Hollywood with all the glitz and glamour and the spotlight being on him, which I think wouldn?t mind at all. A lot of pressure would be on him for turning the Lakers around and I doubt he would mind that pressure at all. He feeds of off pressure. That?s how he got his MVP award for that matter? [IMG]

So that aside, I don?t really see how this trade would benefit either team in the point being.

As much as I'd love to see Kobe traded, AI is not worth Kobe. Anyways, Kobe has a horrible contract so I'd love to dump it ASAP before it degrades from his trade value. Why trade Kobe after he signed a huge contract? Cuz the little #*@$! opted out of his contract so the Lakers would watch him walk away (especially after all we did for him and after all the support he recieved from us during his trial). Now that he's locked onto a contract, it's THE PERFECT TIME to get rid of him.

    <font size="1"><font color="Red">That enough. I'm closing this thread.

First of all, we're supposed to respect all of our fellow members here on JBB. And I think it would make a little more sense, if we were to respect a fellow 76ers fan at that. But regardless of what team the member is supposedly for, we're suppose to respect on another around here no matter what. I don't not want to see personal attacks or making fun of another member again, like I just witnessed in this thread.. ?His? assessment was probably not the most fully thought assessment around, however that gives no reason to taunt that member. If you don't have anything to say relating the thread, then simply don't post. Do no waste his time nor yours taunting just to make yourself look ?cool?. So again, do not let this occur again.

    Thank You
