Nice comeback from as many as 20 down. Clearly, the team was still suffering some injured pride from the whupping against the Bucks the night before, because they came out extremely flat in the first half. No energy at all.
Fortunately, Tony Allen came to play and showed some hustle on the defensive end, which seemed to perk the whole team up. And years from now, I'll be able to say I was there when Delonte West had his coming out party. 11 great minutes. No points, but he was running the show beautifully when the Celtics came charging back. I was actually dissapointed when Doc elected to put Gary in for the last 2+ minutes, cause I would have liked West to finish the night out.

I'm going to say that this was as close to a must win as it could get at this point in the season, cause the last thing that this team needed was to fight to get to .500, only to slide right back down. Getting hammered at home tonight would have really wrecked this team's confidence.

I was cheering for the Celtics to come back so the Lakers could distance themselves a little more from the Clippers. This was the first time I've seen Tony Allen in the pros, he was impressive. He has a good feel for the game, and was very quick on defense. He must have had 3 or 4 steals in the game. Paul Pierce was also an assist away from a triple double. I guess the Lakers returned the favor by taking out the Nets in New Jersey.

    Grrr....

The Clippers should've won this game, they had the lead the whole way till the 3rd where it started slipping, and they just didn't execute in the 4th. Very dissapointing game, Brand owns the Celtics frontcourt, but he's been owning everyone's frontcourt lately, but his 30 point effort couldn't get the win.

He didn't get too many points in the 4th, Maggette seemed to take all the 4th quarter shots.

Clippers folded like cheap lawn chairs last game against us also. Boston must just have thier # right now.

I only watched the first half, as I left to go out with friends to watch the best rivalry in all of college basketball, maybe all of college sports: UNC vs Duke. Good game. Too bad UNC lost.

Tony Allen is going to be someone to watch. Ricky Davis like skill set, without the attitude problems. He still gets lost in the offensive scheme at times, but both he and Jefferson are going to end up being 2 great draft picks.

Hagrid, you missed the Delonte West coming out party. He was great leading the charge during the fourth. I'm going to be very curious to see who's the first off the bench tonight against the Knicks: Banks, who helped slow Marbury very well the last 2 games against the knicks, or West, who apparently is Doc's new boy.

You guys can thank me for this win. I had just returned from the jacuzzi after skiing all day, and as soon as I turned the game on, the C's went on a 14-0 run. You're welcome, guys.
