well he's been pretty inconsistant in terms of offense AND defense, so what does he expect? he was brought aboard to play D, and his D hasnt even been anything special. mo pete has been a much better defender

It's pretty sad that we got rid of a guy who demanded a trade for another guy who demands a trade. It seems like this team always got some serious chemistry issues.

Maybe send him to Philly if possible, reunite him with Obie.

You know, he was the picture of professionalism when he was in Boston, it must be pretty tough in that locker room...

What is there to say, Rafer is crying and wants an apology from someone, Eric Williams seems to have some beef with Rafer and also with the team and wants out, and Alonzo after all this time [don't know why we waited] is getting his wish and will be bought out and go to Miami.

We've accomplished a lot this season...

meh get rid of him. Thats 3 attractive players we can unload in Yell, Alston and EWill. Get some good picks and cap space and we'll be ok. Better pick too.

I was pretty surprised when I saw this but I can relate to the dude. I'm really not a big fan of Sam Mitchells player rotation where only the people playing good will get burn. Now it looks like EWill is feeling the brunt of it and I don't blame him. I wouldn't blame any Raptor if they started to complain about playing time because Mitchells rotation is non-existent and people are not able to play defined roles in a system. It's whoever is playing good at the time is gonna get burn. Whatever happend to letting players play out of a slump?

Also, with our coach acting the way he is I state again that I would not be surprised to see our players turn him off at some point in this season or next season. You can look around and there are not many people happy with the chemistry and the coach also has a lot to do with that. If he is always confrontational with players then it will send the wrong message. Maybe if he was on a younger team he would be more successful but Mitchell is treating a bunch of veterans like little babies and they are responding as such.

wow, what a great time to be a Raptor fan!

I thought EWill is supposed to be a professional...... he doesn't contribute at all on both offense and defense every since he came to the Raps and all of a sudden he's complaining that he isn't getting any PT, what a baby.

I say Mitchell should go. His "my way or the highway" approach is bullshit. Its obvious the players arent respoing well to him..

    Just hire Chuck Swirsky! [IMG]

That's exactly what I've been saying from day one...On top of that, we pay a whiner to play for another team.

Be serious, we're not going to fire Sam. Rob Babcock won't fire his first Head Coach after 3/5 of an NBA Season. If we do this...Chris Bosh, our cornerstone will have 3 coaches in 3 years. That's just hell for a young kid coming in the league, and having a new coach, new system, for each of his training camps and seasons. We would just be the real laughing stock of the league, if we aren't already.

Come on Hoffa, it's your time to prove haters wrong.

I really don't see how Eric Williams has any case to complain here. Maybe if he played better he wouldn't be on the bench all the time.

He should look at Jalen as an example. Jalen was taken out of the starting lineup and he didn't like it but he worked his ass off and eventually got back to the starting lineup.

Eric, on the other hand sulks and then publicly demands a trade. He must have been talking to Vince.

Except on the bench Jalen was still getting basically the same amount of minutes, while E-Dub is getting garbage minutes, and DNP-CD's.

I understand where he's coming from. He's a veteran and has been in the league for a while. All of them want to win and be on a team that is classified as a contender, and if not that, they want a more than 20 minutes a game.

But why give him minutes when he hasn't earned them? He had his chance when he first arrived here and he did nothing with it. I think he's just another disgruntled player who plays half-assed because he never wanted to be here in the first place.

    well i have an idea!

New York trades: PF Jerome Williams (4.7 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 0.6 apg in 16.3 minutes)
    C Bruno Sundov (1.6 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 0.1 apg in 4.7 minutes)
New York receives: PF Aaron Williams (1.6 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 0.3 apg in 7.3 minutes)
SF Eric Williams (8.5 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 1.8 apg in 26.9 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +3.8 ppg, +0.5 rpg, and +1.4 apg.

Toronto trades: PF Aaron Williams (1.6 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 0.3 apg in 7.3 minutes)
SF Eric Williams (8.5 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 1.8 apg in 26.9 minutes)
Toronto receives: PF Jerome Williams (4.7 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 0.6 apg in 16.3 minutes)
    C Bruno Sundov (1.6 ppg, 0.9 rpg, 0.1 apg in 4.7 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -3.8 ppg, -0.5 rpg, and -1.4 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED
(maybe a second round pick to thrown in for the raps)?? to ease the deal
Due to New York and Toronto being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. New York and Toronto had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
