i noticed that kidd has been playin great these past weeks. he has been getting great numbers and triple doubles. if kidd keeps playin like this do u think ppl would start sayin "Oh my god it was a mistake for him to not be in the allstar game".or do u think they will still think "ahh we r better off wit arenas and wade. im not goin to give my opnion yet. i want u guys to tell me first. i dont want to get critcized on what my opnion is. so anyway what do u think
Why would people go it was a mistake, for the first half of the season they both outplayed Kidd, and also both played more games, the All-Star game is only for first half of the year performance. When it's all said and done, I'd say they still deserve the spot, so would Kidd, but not anymore than them. Kidd has been playing great though, racking up the triple doubles, and hitting is shots, the Nets are still sort of in the mix.
Kidd has been excellent, and his play has been needed. But, IMO he's playing too many minutes. He needs to get his rest since we don't want him overworked and risking another injury. We need him at his best next year, and this year in the playoffs if we make it. We should keep him to around 33 minutes in a game. Travis Best and Jacque Vaugn have proved they can help out and play 20 minutes every game, and then we also have Zoran to help out.
If the all star game was in 2 months, kidd would have a legit chance to make it. But since it's in a couple weeks, he just didn't play enough games to warrant a spot (maybe you could argue that for JO though...) He's been playing great so far, he's making players out of scrubs. There's been a surprising low amount of alleys to vince though Not sure how much damage they can do this year, but when RJ comes back healthy next year, (and big man draftee), expect a powerhouse team similar to the wizards of this season. In fact, a Jkidd, VC, RJ tandem would hands down, beat arenas, hughes, jamison.
Kidds play has been amazing. Everyone talks about Vince but Kidd is just Killing it and no one is really noticing (except for NJ fans of course). But regarding the All star game it is fair that he has not been in it. He was injured for a good part of the season and he is JUST starting to play All star calibre ball right now.
Two players from a well below .500 team should never make the all-star game in my opinion. So that reason alone is good enough for me to except Kidd not going to Denver. But as for Kidd's play, he had a hard time his first 10 games or so playing such limited minutes. But now that his minutes have increased over the past month, he is proving exactly why he is the best point guard in this league. He has re-freshed Vince Carters game, while also bringing out the best in lesser players like Billy T, Jacque Vaughn, Jabari etc. they all feel comfortable playing alongside him because they know Kidd will find away to create opportunities for them. The best feeling for a player is knowing that they are playing alongside a guy who main purpose is making you a better player. So Kidd is just being Kidd.
kidd has been amazing especially last 2 games with back to back triple double.. When kidd and carter dominate in same game then nets can be a though team to beat.
Shouldn't be a surprise. He's still with Steve Nash the best floor general in the game. Plus, he's probably trying to increase his trade value if he ever happens to get traded. I don't think that's going to happen. RJ,Carter,Kidd with a decent frontcourt will bring the Nets back to being top in the East.
