Hey all, has anyone seen on tv where they show the game from an angle that's directly under the basket? I mean, it seems like the camera is in the floor where you could literally look up into players' shorts. Does anyone know how they do this? I've looked at the court and can't see a camera or anything.
i remember once i was watching a game and Kobe was dribling the ball on the camera during worm ups. it was cool to look up. the comentaters said some thing like "theres Kobe Bryant playing with the floor camera" and it was a year ago i think. so ya. i guess there are.
It's there. They usually use it on replays when players fall backwards into the crowds, and they show them stepping back and then onto the camera. The commentators always say something funny to go along with it. It's pretty cool.
Floor camera is the latest and greatest addition to the NBA game!!! They show footage from it all the time. It is under the rim in the key and it is a camera just below floor level. They are not unbreakable however, because earlier this season when Miami were playing, SHAQ (who else!!) went for a rebound and landed right on the spot and broke it!!! The commentators loved it and made many a joke about it. So there you have it, a little history for you. "Floor Cam" coming to a court near you!!!!! LOL.
It's in the circle under the goal. If you look closely when the camera zooma in you can see a little black dot in the floor, that's the camera. They showed Shaq on the floor camera a lot last year. I think he broke it one time so they started inbedding the camera farther in the floor.
i know the dallas mavs arena (american airlines?) has this floor cam for sure. do all arenas have this floor cam, because ive never seen it on a raptor game.
how do they do that? do they place the camera under a hole that is then covered by glass? if it is glass then how come we dont see it??
