Also, the Clipper guards do a tremendous job rebounding, so it has to be a team effort on the glass in order to feed our running game and not end up with 0 Fast Break points like we did against Philly on Friday night. - First Half Defence: Those ridiculous amount of points we give to the opposing teams in the first half have got to stop. We have to take pride in our defence and come out of the gates intense and docus and put all the personal problems away. - Second Half Defence: Same thing. We have to tight up the defence in the 3rd quarter and not let teams expand their damn leads and put the game away. We're far away from being a "Good" team. We have to have pride not to let teams with one superstar blow us out. It's getting ridiculous and I expect the guys to be mad and come out with a chip. ....... MatchUp Of The Game: vs Elton Brand vs Chris Bosh Chris Bosh has done great job this season when matching up against a high profile power forward. However, hius main task will be to keep Brand off the offensive board and go after every rebound. Chris is taller and quicker than EB, so he has to be aggressive on offence and has to demand the ball inside where our offence should be running every trip down the floor. On defence, I expect to see Hoffa on Brand for a long period of time. The X-Factor: Rafael Araujo He can't have another foul-prone, luckluster performance. Considering that will have a big imapct definsivley, Hoffa has got to come out with confidence and focus and just go out there and play ball. His defence on Brand and kaman will be a big indicator of how this game will end up. Say What?! (Prediction) Raptors got embarresed in 3 of the last 5 home games at the ACC. With a 16-10 record at home, we must come out with energy and capatlize on the home court advantage. The Clips on the other hand are coming out of a 3-Game losing streak that started at Philly a week ago and continues in Boston and Washington, so they'll come out with a fire as well. I expect a Raptor victory nonetheless. Raps win, 102-94.

________

I'll say 102-94. same as u! i just hope they can win! fingerscrossed everyone. i agree with you. hoffa should have a good game against Kaman.
^ yea, I heard them saying that, I don't think the Clippers will have any 2nd half resurgence, the Raps are good in the second half, and also the Clippers have been on the road for I don't know how long, so their can't be any energy in the tank. It was a good start with Raptors shooting 52% from the field, and taking it to the Clips. Livingston played very well in the half, I've been anticipating his return to play, but it's too bad that Jaric had to go down when he returned. How about Milt Palacio, definately should be an All-Star next season, he was hitting his jumpshots like nothing, he's one sick player for real.
Raptors win, their was a breakdown in the 3rd, but Donyell Marshall brought the Raptors back, and Milt Palacio was just amazing. EDIT: lol @ MoPete going for the dunk and missing at the end
MILT PALACIO was unstoppable! great game by him, clutch! everyone played well. E-will took too many bad shots. Marshall and bosh played well too! good win for raps, but i dont want em to break down like they did in the 3rd that is like our weakness, not being able to keep up the intensity.
Wow, we actually won taday. I didnt watch the game but it looked like bosh had a good game iwth 28 and 10, but 12 points in the 3rd? damn we're lucky we scored in the 30's in each of our other q's or we probably would have lost.
I'm really impressed with Livingston's game right now. In 26 minutes he had 9 assists and 4-5 from the field. He can make some sweet moves to the bucket, has good court awareness, and has surprisingly good bball intelligence for a guy who's fresh from high school..... I can definitely see the Magic Johnson comparisons. Too bad we couldn't suck more last season so we'd have a better chance at getting him . Good game for the Raps tonight. I was hoping Bosh would have more than 26 points but oh well, great outting from him none the less. And how about Milt Palacio...... who needs Carter and Rose when we have Milt to come through in the clutch
I got a little scared there in the 3rd, but knowing the Raps, that was probably our game plan like Jack Armstrong said, to set up a dramatic ending. Anyone catch Livingston? His first game back since he went down, and he looked great out there. He's gonna be a real good player in this league, that fro is gonna take him places. My favorite parts of the game today were the mini in game features on Pape Sow, and the post game interview with Milt. BTW, anyone catch the end, when the showed the Raps going into the locker room, and Sam talking to Rafer for a while outside of it? Wonder what they were discussing.
^When I saw that it didn't look like Rafer cared much for what Mitchell was saying. But who knows? Good win for the Raptors. They most definitely needed one after all the bad press they have been getting. Bosh came through AGAIN for the Raptors, isn't it weird how this 20 year old kid is one of the only Raptors with their head on straight is? And what is this? Milt coming through in the clutch??? I say sign him to a 7 year extension immediately!

It looked as though Mitchell was just trying to put on a show for the camera, slapping Rafer on the butt and trying to act buddy buddy with him. Meh, but who knows, maybe he always acts like that with Rafer after a game.
livingston's has penny and magic court vision but i picked up on some glaring problems in his game. first, he gets negated advancing the ball up the court with his dribble by much smaller and quicker guards. also, he just cannot guard point guards even with his length. i think what separates him from penny was that penny had lots of quickness, i don't see that in livingston's game.
^ Yea, you noticed that too, Milt was giving him problems with ball pressure, I wouldn't say he doesn't have quickness at all, he was one of the leaders in the agility testing, and he's shown great quickness defensively, but he needs to learn how to properly use his quickness. He can definately guard PG's though, the only reason he'd actually been getting minutes early in the season was because of his man to man defense, he's able to keep up with other PG's with his quickness and length, and he was the best defender at the PG position.

Quoting og15:

^ He can definately guard PG's though, the only reason he'd actually been getting minutes early in the season was because of his man to man defense, he's able to keep up with other PG's with his quickness and length, and he was the best defender at the PG position.
i'm sorry og, but when did marco jaric (who looks like he should be on some runway in paris) or rick brunson (who's claim to fame his that he had a satire site devoted to him) qualify as good defenders? yeah livingston is better than those dudes but that doens't make him nba first team defense.
Easy, he's not a bad defender, Marko Jaric isn't really a bad defender either [not that he's good], he's decent on the ball, but very good off the ball and picking lanes, he doesn't have the quickness to stay with quick PG's like a Speedy Claxton etc though. Brunson is a garbage defender because he has no athletic ability, so he can't really keep up with anyone. Kerry Kittles was also supposed to handle PG duties, but he's been injured every other game. Think of this, the first thing Mike Dunleavy said about Livingston was in regards to his defense. I've watched a lot of Clipper games, and he's definately an average to good defender on the ball. Dunleavy even came out and said this guy will be a good defender in this league. He surprised me myself, he's so skinny, but doesn't look overmatched on the floor, he uses his size and wingspan very well defensively, he's confident with the ball in his hands, already looks like a team leader at this point, and he's got a good IQ especially for an 18 year old guy.
I was at the game last night, and what a game! The Raptors pulled out to a 20-point lead in the second quarter with good efforts from Murray, Milt and Marshall, only to score just 12 points in the third and fall behind by as many as nine. Great last quarter though, Marshall and Skip were just hitting threes like crazy. 28 assists from the Raptors in any game is good. Btw, did you guys see on TV when the Raptor put on a huge-ass wig and stood beside Livingston?

Milts one of the best in the game.
If Milt doesn't make the All Definsive team, and All NBA First Team, there should be some serious invistigations!
