I was just looking at ESPN`s 2005 playoff predictions and their saying that one matchup would be Miami and Philadelphia. What do you guys think? I think if were somewhat 100% healthy, we have a great chance of winning it.

[IMG] We have chance of beating Miami. Miami is a good team but who will stop The Answer. No one that i know of. We have extra bodies to stop shaq. So we can when it.

No one on the Heat can contend AI but at the same time no one on the Sixers can stop Shaq or Wade. It would be a decent enough series for 1-8 but I doubt the Sixers win more than 1 or 2 games in that series. When It's all said and done though. I expect the Sixers to get 3rd seed due to winning the division.

a great chance of beating the Heat??? are you out of your mind? lol..

sure IF iverson scores 60 EVERY game yeah, but that wont happen. Wade will cancel Iverson out and then you got the Big Diesel versus Sam Dalembert, and in the Playoffs thats not gonna be close (i know Sammy played Shaq good in a couple regular season games, but Shaq isnt the same player as he is in the playoffs)

Ok, maybe not a great chance. However, we do have a legitimate chance. As said, Wade cancels Iverson out, but at the same time, Iverson will end up doing a little more damage then Wade. Secondly, we have players that can nicely match up against the Heat key players. I.e. Thomas can make a nice match-up with Haslem, Iguodala could get the best out of Eddie Jones and so on. Not to mention, we also have the advantage off the bench. That said, I think we do have a legitimate chance at defeating the Heat if we were to play them in the Playoffs. Also, likewise to Shaq, when it's playoff time, Iverson for one is definitely not the same player. He goes all out in the Playoff's just like The Diesel.

We have a chance of beating the Heat but do I think we can do it? No. You never know what kind of team is going to show up, the Sixers are very inconsistent. They can come out, go to Miami and steal a win, and on the same road trip travel to Atlanta and lose. The thing that amazes me is that we are one game out of the playoffs, but we are one game out of the third seed. That's weird.

Philly has showed that they have the power to shutdown great teams such as Seattle, Dallas, Miami etc.. Now I know the 1-2 punch of Wade and Shaq has been almost unstoppable but I think, not just me, but alot would agree that the Sixers have a decent chance of beating any great teams.

In a one off game yes, but in a 7 game series? no. Sometimes people don't realise how different It is in the playoffs compared to the regular season. It's a totally different game.

The only time we beat the heat this season is when Iverson was playing...he dropped like 45 points, 4 dimes and like 10 assist? If he can do that on most games...think about it, take a second..

unless the Sixers can find a time machine and somehow pop out a 1983 Moses Malone, then they have no chance of beating the Heat in a playoff series.
