<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">ATLANTA - Earlier this season, Kenyon Martin vowed to bet a paycheck on Josh Smith winning the slam-dunk contest. The offer still stands. "Oh, yeah," Martin said Monday. "That young kid can jump. To win a dunk contest, you've got to be creative. He's going to try to do it." Martin, a forward for the Denver Nuggets, and Smith, a rookie forward for the Atlanta Hawks, share the same agent. They will meet tonight at Philips Arena for the first time and, naturally, Martin hopes not to get dunked on. Smith might end up being the favorite in Saturday's contest at the Pepsi Center during All-Star Weekend. Smith said Monday he has been invited with rookie guard J.R. Smith of the New Orleans Hornets and Phoenix Suns big man Amare Stoudemire. </div> Source
I think that J-Smoove can take it, No disrespect to Amare but J-Smoove can take him easily. My thoughts may be biased because Josh Smith is my favorite player but c'mon even Kenyon Martin thinks he can take it. The only real competition is JR Smith because damn that guy's got hops, he threw that windmill down like it was nothing. Amare is good but he's more of a posterizer not a dunk contestant ya know, he's probably the best in game dunker after J-Smoove.
I agree with Martin all the way, I think Smith will take it all...the kid is a freak, he can jump and is creative...I can't wait to see what he has up his sleeve.
