<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">There's an old saying: Sometimes the best trades are the ones you don't make.

For the 1995 Rockets, the best trade was the one they unmade.

It was Feb. 4 when a deal was announced that sent Robert Horry and Matt Bullard to the Detroit Pistons for Sean Elliott.

Horry was furious: "You're like a slave ... bought and sold."

Bullard was philosophical. "You don't like to be a throw-in on a deal. But I was lucky to spend three years in Houston."

In the end, they both spent just three days in Detroit. Medical exams revealed Elliott was suffering from a kidney disease, and the Rockets called off the trade Feb. 7.

    Good thing, too.

That's because Horry became a key ingredient and Bullard a vital role player in the Rockets' magical run through the NBA playoffs.

"To put it bluntly, I came back with an attitude that I didn't care," Horry said. "I mean, they said the reason they traded me was that I didn't shoot the ball enough.</div> Source

I dont think that houston should trade any players right because itll ruin chemistry the rockets have right now. But the players who are not contributing or not playing are fine with me if houston decides to trade. I would really like to see Mo Taylor traded because another scorer off the bench would be nice. If the rockets dont make a trade involving Mo, what is houston going to do with him? Keep him on the IL with the flu all season?

The rockets are on fire right now but you cant really tell if they need a trade cause we havent played anyone really beat any great team in a while. Houston will trade mo, but i wonder who theyll get. Utah wants to deal boozer i think or maybe spree. I heard we want to trade weatherspoon, he has a big contract and isnt getting playing time either.

keeping mo on the IL isnt fair to him, he should be able to go somewhere else and get on with his career.

Did i hear the word Boozer? It doesn't make sense for Utah to trade him though. I know that Boozers contract is HUGE, but adding Mo and Spoon's together would be relatively large.

While he don't want to mess up chemistry, its hard to ignore taking a chance on Boozer who openned this season so well. My concerns with Boozer is that he is a gamble because, even though he is breaking out this season, it could be a one-time thing like with Dampier. Wedon't want to be stuck with a long contract like his if he happens to play badly again.

Wonna know why Mo Taylors on the bench? Heres the reason. There's something wrong with it too, see if you can spot it.

    Maurice Taylor F Flu I-L. 1/18

Mo Taylor has been suffering with the flu for almost a month now. I think there's something going on that the rockets don't wonna tell us.

It was said that he has a foot injury and Van Gundy wants him to recover fully. Aside from that I don't know any reason why he still staying on the IL. By the way I found out that Mo Taylor's salary and Derek Anderson's salary are nearly identical with both contracts expiring after the 2006-2007 season.

Well it seems that the Rockets are not making a move as the Feb.24 trading dealine approaches. Maybe because the next game against the Sonics will feature the Mo Taylor's Bobblehead doll. The Rockets will be giving the doll to the first 5000 fans in the arena. It's sure a waste of money for the give-aways if they do trade Mo Taylor. Anyway there's still two days after that.

Nah....waste a money for give-aways? They're already wasting money by giving the bobbleheads away for free...but then it wouldn't make sense to just throw them all away. Could be true, but I doubt it.

I saw the commercial and it looks like the bobble head is standing by a Toyota truck. Maybe that means he'll be driving out of houston after the game. Hey, you never know.

If you don't know the reason, you must not have been watching many Rockets games this season with Mo Taylor in the lineup. He basically played his way out of JVG's rotation, and his replacements have been playing well enough to justify keeping him out of the rotation. There isn't a single player on the active roster who Mo Taylor deserves to play ahead of, and that's the reason he's sticking to the IL.
