If I had to choose, it would easily be Sprewell. But I would trade both. First off, the problem with Spree is his attitude and his inconsistency. His attitude is horrible. He's nothing but a bad karma to the team this season. The biggest outburst was when he went public saying, "he needed more money to feed his family." The dude makes millions and it's not good enough for him. He's far too selfish. And his inconsistency is killing me. Remember the night he got booed at Denver? Well he went for 20+ that night. Netx night, he went for 20+ once again. Night after that, I think it was four points. He can go for 20+ plus on any given night, but his inconsistency is holding him back. Problems with Cassell are his injuries and age. This season, he has been plagued with injuries. First, missing a while with a leg injury, then an injury with his back I think. If I were makingthe decisions, I would trade both.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting rohawk11qb:</div><div class="quote_post">who needs to be traded more or do they both need to be traded. and explain your answer.</div> Even though Spree is a more expensive spent piece of used jet trash, he is gone next season, I would trade Cassell first in the spirit of starting fresh next year. To answer the question correctly, they both need to be traded, desperately. If you got rid of both of them for nothing, and moved Hudson and griffin into the starting line-up, you would have a better team.
I think since this season seems to be lost i agree you trade both away...but if u can only trade one you trade away sam this year cause spree is gone in 30 games anyways. YOu must be careful of who you get for sam..if u can get someone who is in the last year of their contract it would be great plus a daft pick or so. I would love to see if eddie and kg playing 40 ish minutes togather to see if they could dominate the boards.
They both need to go like everyone said. They are malcontents. They are bad influence in the locker room. They are not that great anymore. Latrell has clearly showed his age this year and even last year. He does not go to the hole and score like he used to in his days with the Warriors and Knicks. Sam is a moaner and a whiner. He is constantly injured. They were great last year and they were the big reason why KG agree to an extension, but what they did this year was a disgrace. It's a shame those two will be remembered that way, but they brought that upon themselves.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting CUSA Fan:</div><div class="quote_post"> If I were makingthe decisions, I would trade both.</div> You would do a better job than McHale for sure.
we have to trade both. they have proven they were great players (ok that was last season) but they are aging and their salaries are ridicously overpriced. we need some fresh young talent or some cheap solid vets to form our team. i read on the nets' forum Kidd is apparently fed-up with Jersey's management and seems interested in teaming up with KG. its a vague possibility, but do u think it can happen? p.s get rid of troy hudson too. 3 good games in the playoffs and a string of sub-par performances in regular season doesnt do justice.

He makes only about 6 million this year and the next. He still is a servicable point guard when healthy and can shoot but can't defend. It's only Spree thats overpaid but thankfully he'll certainly be gone next season. I agree that they need some young players here but the team is already old enough and doesn't need any more vets. As everybody has already stated, it is better to trade both. If I had to choose one, it would be Spree even if he will be gone next season. The team can't stand to have him any longer He cares more about money than the team's sucess. In Sam's defense, he wanted a extension to know if the team wanted him. Spree is so inconsistent, his attitude, his selfishness and is the reason for all the mess in Minnesota.

Wolves have nothing to offer. Sure he wants to play with a big man, but so does everyone else. As for Kidd, I am so tired of his whining. I understand his frustration about losing Kenyon Martin, but Bruce Ratner, Nets owner, deserves credit for letting Rod Thorn spend money to get guys like Carter, Campbell, and Robinson. Thorn is trying his best to field a good team for Kidd yet he is still whining. I am so tired of it. BTW, I think the Nets did the right move letting Kenyon go. He is not worth the money he got from Denver. I would love to see Troy go, but why would another team in their right mind want him.
