A nice little bit of coverage around the traps today, always good to see. http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/3396490 http://www.insidehoops.com/power-rankings.shtml and from the links "Everyone (Doug Collins, Charles, Marv Albert and Magic) loves Ridnour and Seattle's bench" Great to be getting some respect.
I'd rather stay anonomous and win then receive publicity and falter. I really liked how we've stayed under the radar b/c it gives our team added incentive to search for that respect. We aren't used to being the hunted, and considering our pending free agent situation, I would hope that jealousy wouldn't arise from certain players getting extensive media coverage. I'll take the wins over the press. It's great that we are finally getting our just due for what we've done this season, but all in all, all that we've accomplished thus far is position ourselves to win our division and receive home court advantage in the first round (which is huge considering our expectations coming into this year). The real respect and press will come if we have success in the postseason.
The sporting media likes a feelgood story, and that seems to be us this season. Nice to see our bench getting props, it is the best in the league and probably contains the two top 6th man candidates.
