Quote:

Dear Good People of Toronto. Wait, don't rip this up! Hear me out. For the past few weeks, I've been kicking butt in Jersey. They're saying I'm rejuvenated, that the old Vince is back, that the change of scenery did wonders for me. If you've watched any Nets games, you probably have noticed that I care again. Like maybe you saw me drop 43 on the Spurs -- the Spurs! -- in three quarters before I got thrown out. In retrospect, I overreacted to Bowen's undercut. Then again, it's been so long since I felt any emotion on a basketball court, I wasn't sure how else to respond. Hustle? Defense? Toronto fans can't believe their eyes. But you don't want to hear about that. Or how I averaged 30 for a solid month. Or how much I love playing with J-Kidd. You want answers. You want to know how someone could go from "superstar" to "irrelevant" to "superstar" without a catastrophic injury or drug addiction. Well, how can I explain this? I'm the only athlete with an on-off switch.
Source
*shrug shoulder* vince carter is vince carter. i wouldnt have expected anything else. my advice is the raptors should forget carter and start plannning to become an eastern power once again
Haha, their was one of these kinda articles on that one site that does the joke basketball articles, the other one was funnier though it had some thing about him sleeping on the court, and some fake Sam Mitchell quotes.
Another hilarious article by Bill Simons. Although it may not seem funny to Raps fans because this is the truth we saw for 2 years.

As I admitted a few weeks ago, I stopped trying in Toronto. Looking back, a number of things were at fault. First, the $94 million contract the Raptors gave me after my 2001 playoff duel with Allen Iverson. NBA contracts are, of course, guaranteed, so no matter how poorly I played, my huge check was going to arrive every two weeks. I mean, what would you do?
Full Article

we were considered an eastern power...after the 2001 season..alot of people predicted us to win the east with us signing all our key free agents and hakeem...which ended up being a horrible signing..
I really thought Vince wrote it reading the title of this thread. Anyway the part where he writes it was the only time he showed emotion on the court was pretty funny. Btw, I never knew you were a moderator CourtVision.

As for the article, I agree with its every word, but I was confused by the thread's title. I'd thought that Carter had actually written it, but I began doubting it right after I saw that he was putting down other players. Still, this was hilarious.

I know that was suppose dto be a joke article... but all in all it is also an article that spits the truth and nothing but the truth. Everything in that article about VC was true. About not putting effort... giving 110% night in and night out... I mean the whoel city of T.dot was behind him, and so was his 91 000 000 dollar contract!!! Wow... I'd give my left arm for his spot, and he doesn't even seize the moment to showcase his talent and gift. I dispise him.
