So, Al Jefferson is off the injured list and Justin Reed conveniently became 'injured'. It'll be interesting to see if Al gets any playing time tonight against the Grizzlies.

SWEEET!!!!! Im going to the game tonight and would love to see Al Jefferson play but only if he truly is ready to go. I dont want him rushing back and ruining his career

Yeah, I just heard on WEEI. Great news here, because with the loss of Walter McCarty, we need a good solid rebounder who can score at will in the post, all the while man-handling big men all across the court in the lineup.

We might see Al in limited minutes, though. Because I'm sure they don't want to rush him back, and they probably also want to try to convince some NBA team that Googs is worth trading for.

Don't you just love phantom injuries. I remember a Waltah interview a few years ago when he couldn't remember which knee was supposed to be injured! [IMG]

Also, I don't see Jefferson playing at all tonight, but if he does, it won't likely be more than 10 mins, IMO.

Not a bad couple of minutes for the kid. Not sure how exactaly he did because I haven't looked at the box score yet but, even though he was pressed into action probably more than Doc wanted with all the foul trouble, he handled himself nicely for his first action back. Still noticeably limping, but good to see him get some time in before the break.

I think the important part of him getting a few mins last night was that he got some game time to get a feel for the court again.

And as you mentioned, he still seemed to be favoring the ankle during breaks, but his play between whistles seemed to be 100% effort and he didn't seem to try to change his game to accommodate his injury.

When he got to the line in the 2nd half, it was because he got a feed down low and went right after the dunk. That's good stuff, IMO. [IMG]
