The Clippers rookie guard will be sidelined until at least the middle of March after an MRI revealed torn cartilage in his right shoulder, an injury he suffered while making a steal Tuesday night's game, Los Angeles Times reporting. He had just returned to the lineup Sunday after sitting out 39 games because of a dislocated right kneecap.</div> Source

Now that's just bad luck, his comeback was off to a good start.

This is no surprise really. Before the season started, I had anticipated that Livingston would be oft-injured this year, based on his built alone. The problem is that I had envisioned Chalmers to be more of a contributer, so this is a big loss considering the Clipps need as many healthy PGs as they can keep.

Yea I read this in the morning...

Well Jaric is also out since he's also injury prone, Livingston is likely out again, and Chalmers is hardly a PG, so we're back to the only Rick Brunson at PG days again.

..and I even put Back in Action for him

I read it on some internet boards so I don't hold a lot of credibility to it, but if it is true... [IMG]

Yea that's what i'm thinking. If it is true I understand why he's getting injured. Being that weak he can't physically match up with most point guards in the leauge. He looks very small anyway. He really does need to start going to the gym more.

During pre-draft workouts a couple of years ago, T.J. Ford couldn't bench his own weight either. Maybe even more sad, Nick Collison was only able to do about 5 reps of 180 lbs.

The infamous Nick Collison workout. Originally, he couldn't even bench 180 one time, but his agent made a stink about it coming out in reports, so Collison got a second chance.

As for Livingston, I don't think it's a surprise he's having all these injuries, the guy is rail thin. He needs to gain a good 20 or 30 pounds to be an everyday starter in the league. Minor setbacks though, he's going to have a great career, hopefully for the Clippers.

Livingston didn't really get injured due to being weak, they weren't injuries related to stress on his body, just freak accident injuries, yes he needs to get stronger, but that's not really why he's gotten injured.

Yeah but the thing is you prevent freak accident injuries by being durable and thats something Livingston is not. Thats why guys like Jordan and Kobe started working hard to add bulk in the early stages of their careers.

This isn't a good sign for Livingston in my opinion. The guy is obviously a good player but suffering two pretty major injuries in your rookie year is a pretty tough to overcome. Good luck and get well to him regardless.
