According to sources, Brian Shaw and Kurt Rambis will become assistant coaches for the Lakers. They will start their new jobs Monday after this weekend's All-Star break.

Frank Hamblen, who will remain the interim coach until the end of the season, suggested the hiring of Shaw and Rambis, according to sources. </div>

Great adds if you ask me, especially Shaw.

I thought Rambis was "promoted" to the front office. So if he's back as an assistent, didn't he technically just get demoted?

Nevertheless, it's nice to see some familiar faces on that Laker bench.

Word on the Laker Radio Shows, is Tex Winters has been spotted all over Staples and is likely to end up on the coaching bench as well. Of course this has all led to rumors of PJax taking over as headcoach next season. With Shaw and Rambis to get an early start on teaching the flow of the triangle, all signs might be pointing towards Phil Jackson back in LA.

I'm sure Tex will be around...not sure if he'll officially be on the bench but he'll definitely be consulting with the team.

Up next...Phil Jackson?? Maybe next year but we'll see.
