People say philly is a good team but is missing one or two pieces what are they? and how can they get them?
Philly is missing the same piece they've been missing the last few seasons, which is another consistent scorer, who can play alongside Iverson. They've tried so many players Stackhouse, Hughes, Van Horn, Matt Harpring, and Big Dog, but none have meshed with AI. The 76ers are trying to deal Big Dog and his expiring contract for another player. Some rumors have been Sprewell, Marshall, or even Van Horn. Out of those 3, I think Sprewell might be a good compliment to Iverson.
I think spree is a good help but we also could use a person like webber. I heard that webber was suppose to come to philly. Is that true?

The Kings are playing great basketball, and Webber is a big part of that, so I don't see him being traded at all. I don't think he'd work in Philly either, because both Webber and Iverson need a lot of touches to be effective.
that is kind of true but we still need another scorer philly needs to make a trade so AI can get a championship fast. We won't know if he will still be pro :-o ductive like he was this year. This is his best year ever and he should be r ewarded with a championship.
Or at least close to 20^, maybe. We basically need a Rasheed Wallace type trade to make us a real contender. Or the Sixers could try to build a type of team like they did in the 2001 Finals team. Even though that Finals team got beat 4-1 in the Finals, I like the ideal tough team that foucuses on defense. Look at what Detroit did with that mindset, defense wins chapionships afterall right.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting 02civic:</div><div class="quote_post">donyell marshall maybe for picks/willie green/dalembert</div> Probably not happening, sorry to dissapoint you. Anyway I just say keep everything the same and let them form chemistry. They don't have a scorer but they have great role players. Korver is great off penetrations, Iguodala has a nice all around game, and Iverson is Iverson. They could use another scorer but they can't really give up anything signifficant without it. That's why Glenn Robinson was such a bust. I say develop some kind of chemistry and if Iverson is for real, he probably wouldn't let his best year go to waste. Keep everything the same!
I agree to a certain extent. The nucleus that Philly has at the moment is excellent, with A.I and Korver and A.I the sequel (Iggy). Also, if Dalembert can become more of a threat and more consistent, it makes for a very serviceable unit. However, a scoring compliment to Iverson would sure speed up the process and get us back into the finals quicker. Lets see how the rest of the season goes because if they continue to develop the chemistry, we may be looking at a totally different team result next season. (After the playoffs this season!!!)
76ers need an offenseive post presence to open up shots for Korver and so Iverson can dish when he gets into trouble in the paint.
- A second ***** to have as much heart as Iverson...I think Iguluda getting there tho.. - Get rid of big dog who aint doing issh More things we need...but i cant think right now..
Athletes. We need more athletes and Iggy was a great draft pick, we just need more of them. We need to get into a Phoenix Suns type of offense because The Answer is as lethal as anyone in the open court and in an up tempo style of game. More athletes, more running, more buckets, more wins, more smiles to fans faces. What do you think about that, a more run and gun type offence like Jim O'Brien used to run in Boston??? Who would complement that style of game?

I have a feeling about Donyell Marshall to. He is athletic, very long and plays with heart. He could give some great help on the boards and blocks shots. He would be a nice second option in offence to. It would not suprise me if we actually get him, i just have a feeling.......
