<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">King has to find someone who's good enough to help this season, and who makes something close to Robinson's $12 million, but whose contract also expires at the end of the season. While also finding a team that wants or needs Robinson.

    The pickings are slim.

Atlanta's Antoine Walker ($14.625 million) could get it done, but the Hawks are adamant about getting young, good players and draft picks for any of their veterans. The Hawks want Dalembert to be part of any package for Walker.

Veteran Dale Davis ($10.068 million) is wasting away in Golden State, but the Warriors are hoping to turn him into something a little younger than the 32-year-old Robinson. Portland's Shareef Abdur-Rahim ($14.625 million) is a class individual and a consistent 18-point scorer, but he hasn't played for the last month following elbow surgery, and there's no indication that the Blazers have any interest in Robinson.

The bottom line is the Sixers could well do nothing with Robinson, let him walk at season's end, and take the $12 million off their payroll.

Probably not what you want to hear.

Probably not what Allen Iverson wants to hear.

But in the luxury tax era, it's probably music that Ed Snider can dance to.</div> Source

maybe because glenn is gettin 12 million a yr... and getting old and missing games... probably teams that need cap room will get him because his contract is ending, but its hard trading big contracts

He has a big contract, hasn't play any of the season so far so no team knows what he brings to the table this year, and he is getting too old. Robinson is also very injury prone and has a bad work ethic. The list goes on and on.

His contract is the main reason, plus a lot of teams would want one of our young players to go along with Big Dog (Willie, Korver, Iguodala, Dalembert, etc.). King isn't willing to deal one of the young players and I don't blame him, they all have potential to be great players one day and I wouldn't give them up in one of these trades. The only thing I can see happening is a Spreewell or a Donyell Marshall deal happening...

I would just wait out his contract until the summer, use his $12 million to get a decent free agent...

Robinson's contract is to hard to trade basically. PLus the Sixers don't want to take players with big contracts. Right now I don't see why we don't just play him, apparently it's kind of to late now though. The whole point of playing him would be to boast his trade value. Right now Dale Davis and Toine aren't exactly what I would like to see in Philly and it seems everytime a deal does seem some what attractive the opposite GM usually will ask for one of the young'ns.

I agree that i would sort of like something to be done but at the same time, just letting his contract run out would benefit us after this season, no good to us now as we push for a playoff run. The reason he is so hard to deal, is because he makes too much money for too little output, he has injuries all the time and he has a bad attitude. I for one would not like Antoine Walker. Yes he can ball, but if people think Big Dogs work ethic sucked and he was a "cancer" i feel that we would just be replacing one for another. Donyell Marshall may fit.

Because he sucks now...he's old slow and getting paid too much money for his game. If I owned a team, his name would never come up as a possible prospect.
