He also won't fit in with Kobe or Odom, because all 3 players need the ball. B. Diddy is, too risky to give up an up and coming player in Butler, and for a PG who is fitting in.
I would pull the trigger on that trade. Why you ask? Becuase Baron would be a second option and wouldn't have to work as hard, reducing his chance of injury. He would be playing in front of his hometown crowd, he would have two great scorers in Kobe and Lamar....we all saw how Vince turned around when he was traded to NJ.

I would welcome Ray. He and Kobe could be great, I am sure they would be able to put aside differences, and he would give us a pure shooter that we need. But if it is Allen, we won't find out until Monday cause of the Allstar game.. Jermaine O'neal? I can hope.. Peja? Elton Brand? I am talking to Jesse, and she said her friend IMed her and the trade went through (reported by Haley and that the players know is what he said)..if that is true, doubt it...we will find out soon..
I just read Haley emphasized it will be a front court player so scratch out B. Diddy, Kidd, or Ray Allen. Haley is a bastard for not spilling the beans, he's a reporter, he needs to report the details damn it! Big name front court help? Why would Seattle trade Ray Allen when their team is so hot right now? Maybe because of his free agency after this year, but I would still try to negotiate with him. I'm thinking Michael Redd..

lol...thnx alot guys, i was headed to bed a second ago and i checked this thread and BAAM! This boy is wide awake lol. Got my mind playin tricks on me.. thats some serious names thrown around there. Man i would really hate to see my man Caron go...i have fell in love with this kid (No homo).. he has alot of upside. KG - Least likely... laker fans couldnt be that lucky. BD - I like him early last year....since then hes caught the injury bug and worries me Kidd - Wanted to come to LA, hes back to his Triple Dubb ways - i like it. Peirce - Clutch, good all around - i like it Allen - I love it...but i dunno, more likely then KG and Peirce. JO - Look at KG. - Id prolly go completely insane if this went down...young stud. Peja - Would be nice mostly...but there are many more id prefer. Boozer - Not too thrilled but he would fit in perfectly, just what they needed. SAR - Could be a nice fit, but i have my doubts. I have the radio on and I'm browsing all over the net trying to get the details. The thing driving me nuts is, the longer we wait, the more chance it is KG or some other All Star, but yet waiting is torture. If we get KG, I'd forgive him for all the terrible moves he's made.
But why would anyone consider KG as a trade option? He is the ray lewis of Minnesota (Heart and Soul) not to mention, the reigning MVP of the NBA. In my opinion KG is Top 3 in the NBA (KG,Kobe,Duncan)....Kobe and KG on the same team?....*falls back in chair*. To me there is a 98% chance KG retires a TWolve, i dont wanna even begin to get my hopes up...feels good, but not so good when your let down.
Yeah KG is a pipedream, but stranger things have happened. I just hope Jack Haley's definition of a big name player, is the same as mine and is an All-Star or an All-Star snub. Throwing around sentences like, "putting the Lakers over the top," "exciting," "definite impact," those are strong words and there are few players who can do that for the Lakers, without the Lakers giving up a lot in return. I'm reading a lot of Boozer rumors. If it doesn't involve Kobe, Odom, or Butler, I don't have a problem with it. But if the Lakers give up Butler and another starter, I'll be pissed. The contracts of Kobe, Odom, and Boozer, cap us out for the next 5 or 6 seasons, and trading 2 starters for Boozer is, too much for him.
Caron for Boozer.....i hate that with a passion. Caron is a better all around player IMO, though boozer adds that PF presence i want. But i was hoping for Jkidd atleast, RayAL or someone of that nature. "BIG TIME PLAYER with a BIG TIME NAME" Boozer?....smh
