Thats great to hear. Its not official yet so we don't know if it's 100% guarenteed. He won't take over until next season so the rest of the season will be rocky with all of the negotiating that is inevitable to come.
Just rumor..I've been on top of the ball lately with the rumors..one of them better happen.. I think Phil will be back here next year. We have Shaw and Rambis as assistant coaches, I think they are teaching the triangle to the players now..setting everything up for Phil.
Phil by all rights should come back, he is still a nice fit for kobe regaurdless if they get along or not. Laker fans want phil back, plus....it will bother shaq

I appreciate what Shaq did for the Lakers, but he's been classless since he got traded. He's still taking shots at Kobe and the Laker franchise. He needs to be a man and make peace with it already.

He doesn't care what goes on in L.A. anymore and has made that clear to the media.
^^If he didn't care, why would he keep talking about it? Obviously he cares or else he woudl just shutup and go on to playing for the heat, on a team, in a new era, with a new coach and teammates. But don't worry, i couldnt' care less about shaq vs. kobe its stupid. As for phil returning, i think it would be great for the franchise. Great for kobe, great for odom, etc.
Didn't the Lakers announce Thursday that Frank Hablen would be the head coach for the remainder of the season. Assuming that I have doubts that Phil is coming back to coach for the Lakers.
Bother shaq? lol have you seen his interveiw with the guy in the Red Blazer a couple weeks back? ...he asked him "what if phil comes back to coach LA?" or something like that....Shaq had a look on his face, you can tell that would bother shaq. thats the reason he says he left.

I will always have love for shaq....but lately he has really got to me with his tude. But no matter what, its like family...you can get mad at your family, but when someone else does it bothers you...but besides that, ill alwaysh ave love for the guy but he cant touch kobe in my eyes. But for PJax, it seems the thanksgiving meal is being prepared....the table is being set....but is phil eating?.......this boy hopes so.,
