In an All-Star Game that featured seven players 25 or younger but did not produce a 20-point scorer for the first time since 1981, Iverson's all-around performance was what stood out.

The NBA scoring leader, Iverson did not have to take everything upon himself, something he must do on a nightly basis as the star of the Philadelphia 76ers. He scored 15 points on 4-of-13 shooting, but handed out nine assists and collected five steals.

"The game is easy for me like this, just having four other guys, I didn't get double-teamed all night," said Iverson, who scored an NBA season-high 60 points against the Orlando Magic on Feb. 12. "I didn't get the attention that I usually get and it makes it that much easier for me."</div></div><div align="center">Linkage</div>
Even though many may say that AI didn`t deserve the award, he once again took home the All Star MVP honors. Congrats AI!

Okay. Let's compromise. Nobody really deserved the MVP award in last night's game. However, somebody had to get it.

How did Allen not deserve the award? It was a very hard decision, but it was very evident by his stat line, and his determination, and energy on the court of who was to win.

Even though Allen Iverson deserved the award it was a hard pick because the game was very well rounded. Iverson was the legs of this team through out most of the game and thats why he won the MVP award.

    I heard he had 15-10-5.

But congrats to AI anyways, he deserves it and anybody else that says he doesn't should go play in traffic. [IMG]

I would be willing to bet that out of every All-Star Game Most Valuable Player in NBA history he had the both lowest field goal percentage and the most turnovers. That's my argument against him getting the award. Sure, he's my favorite player, but still.

Like I said to VC, turnovers should not be taking seriously at all. This is an All-Star game, and the high turnover rates are very much expected. However, you could make an argument for his FG's. It's not very good, but he must have been providing the team with something else at a high level to get him the MVP. Well nevertheless, congrats to Iverson. This is now his second All-Star game MVP and by the looks of what we've seen so far in this season, he has certainly made up for his horrible year last season by playing the best he has for his whole career.

allen deserved, it was a whole team effort, i think they all played equally and as good as allen, but at the end its 1 that takes it home, and allen fought for that
