It's good to see that Yao and McGrady are beginning to develop a nice relationship. It seems like McGrady is anything but the loner that people had once portrayed him. Hopefully, the duo would do great things when they begin to know each other's games inside out and hit their primes.

Man, I think I will go nuts if the beat the Sonics/Spurs on a back to back. I'm very interested to see how the Rockets match up with the sonics since they could definitely meet in the playoffs. I'm new btw. Holla.
Welcome BritKid! Besides the ever-growing relationship between Tracy and Yao, i am glad to see that Tracy recognizes his mistakes in this perfect 8 game stretch. I agree with him that he need to use his given ability that few have to drive to the basket and draw fouls, get assists or score with his great moves. We have plenty of jump shooters so Tracy randomly jacking up shots might not always be the best offense, but hey, that why he has been the 2 time scoring champion, he takes risks.
welcome britkidd good to see that yao and mcgrady are developing a deeper relationship as teammates and this is their first year, who knows maybe we can win some titles seeing as they are both real young and mcgrady seems to be liking houston so he might be here for a while.
Welcome Britkid, we hope you like the Rockets forum. It's one of the most active ones on JBB. As for the comments aboutT-Mac slashing a little more, it is very true that that is his natural game and maybe he should do it more. BUT, I do remember a very valid point brought up by Trip a while back that in shooting more than slashing, T-Mac is prolonging his career because he won't be worn out or ruffed up much. Imagine players like Allen Iverson retiring at a young age hahaha. Well thats my 2 cents.
i'd rather t-mac hit a jumper than go hard to the hoop, get hit and then sit on the injured list for 3 weeks... or maybe I'm being pessimistic here.

Problem is, his jumpers aren't going in and when that happens, he usually just takes more jumpers. McGrady really kills the team when he does that. In my opinion, he really should be using his god given abilities and drive to the hoop. You bring up Iverson, which is a pretty nice point, and considering all the injuries he's had- its a really good point. However, McGrady is also a much larger and I think more muscular player than Iverson. He can take the banging in the paint to draw the fouls- leading up to the easy free throws.

And if T-Mac doesnt go to the hoop due to fear of injury then he wouldnt be the player he is.

I think he should slash more because that is his God-given ability. All I'm saying is that he has to find a happy median where he can do his things cutting through the paint while still hitting the open jumper when it is presented to him. And with his speed that is quite often.
