Bob Sura underwent an MRI on his aching back, and has been sidelined for tonight's game. This is all I know as of right now, but it sure doesn't sound like something they need at this point in the season.

    Discuss.

Thats pretty much the last thing I want to hear right now. Sura is definitely a big part of the glue that holds everything together. His hustle is priceless. He'll almost get a trip-dub every night. I'm going to the game tonight, and the fact that Rod Strickland will probably be starting makes things look really bleak. I guess this has been coming though....

Yep, Rod is the projected starter.

I see a lot of matchup problems tonight, since Rod has no chance of guarding Ridnour or Daniels. I would hope that they use Wesley, McGrady and Padgett to guard the 1, 2, and 3 tonight, otherwise their point guards are going to eat us up and Ray Allen is going to have a field day as well.

Seattle is a really tough matchup for us, even if Sura is in the lineup. Sura isn't quick enough to guard Ridnour and, particularly, Daniels. And Wesley will have to be chasing after Ray Allen all night. McGrady will obviously be matched up against Lewis most of the time, except when Seattle goes small (Ridnous, Daniels, and Allen on the court together).

I guess with all the time off his back must have stiffened up on him. Hopefully its nothing something which will cause him to miss a lot of games.

Great, just what Houston needs right now, especially in tonight's game against Seattle. Strickland will definitely be owned by Ridnour or Daniels tonight, so it really doesn't look good. Hopefully, he isn't out for too long- he's just too important of a player to Houston. In addition to that, I just hope this doesn't break up some of the team chemistry that was developed over the winning streak, I mean he is the guy the brings the toughness and gel to this team. Not good news for Houston.

What about Wesley moving to PG and Tracy to SG. Padgett could play SF, but defensively i dont see Padgett being able to contain Lewis and Tracy keeping up with Allen, but maybe. This is really bad news and if we somehow win, it's sad to say would be a blessing.

Seattles a dangerous rebounding team so there goes 3 or boards ritght there without sura. I guess he had to get a surgery eventually but this is not a good time. The rockets really have no depth at all in this position so it will really come out costly. This might motivate to make a trade and get anderson.

Well, Rod started tonight, but Barrett has played more than double his minutes at point guard. Both these guys haven't scored yet though, and have just two assists between them. This goes to show how shallow this position is once you look past Sura. Maybe we would be better off with Ward off, but I doubt by a lot.

I hope Sura will be back in time as the Rockets will be having a difficult stretch on the way through March. Is Ward already out for the season? I hate to see Strickland and Barrett being punished by quicker and taller guards. This will probably put pressure on C. Dawson to trade for a guard instead of a reliable PF. Only 2 days left before the trade deadline expires.
