    I like Jarrett Jack as the next Jazz PG, he has all the things the Jazz need at PG: Size, athleticism, good outside shooter, and unselfish. He should be a mid-first round pick if he declares for the draft this year...maybe even late lottery. But, with the Jazz's combination of picks this year, I'm sure the Jazz could find a way to draft him.

    What do you guys think?

    The Jazz need to do something about their future at PG immediately. Howard Eisley is old and not getting any better, Keith McLeod isn't really a starter in the league and Raul Lopez gets injured to often for the Jazz to rely on him. Utah could try to make a deal to get Chris Paul, but I think they are most likely to take Raymond Felton in the draft. I think he could fit in well with Utah, just look at this review of him.

    Yeah, I've watch Felton quite a few times...but I like Jack's size and athletiscism. He can also haul in some boards from the PG postion, which is always a bonus. I don't know...I just think Jack has more NBA potential.

    Just to throw a few names out there.

    <ul>
    [*]Chris Paul (3)
    [*]Raymond Felton (5)
    [*]Jarrett Jack (6)
    [*]Deron Williams (9)
    [*]Guillermo Diaz (11)
    [*]Roko-Leni Ukic (17)
    [*]John Gilchrist (20)
    [/list]

    The numbers are what they're currently ranked in Draft City's 2005 Mock Draft . The Jazz would really like a PG who can score, see the floor, run their offense effectively, defend and give their all.

    I think the best PG for the Jazz would be Jarrett Jack, he can score and he plays defense but his offensive skills are great, I think thats what the Jazz need. Boozer is a rebounder and Kirilenko is an all-around player so they dont have a big scoring presence on their team.

    I agree completely...plus, he should be very obtainable for the Jazz. He's likely going to be a late lotto pick, well within the Jazz's range.

    Stock will drop and rise between now and the draft, but the most important thing for the Jazz when addressing the Point Guard issue is to get a PG who can contribute immediately. If not, it could well be a repeat of this season with no true starter. If immediate impact means trading for a PG with some experience, so be it.

    Jarrett Jack would not fit the Jazz system IMO. He has to dominate the basketball to be effective. I don't think he's much of a floor leader on the court either, and he's more in the mold of Arroyo because he is a shoot first point guard. A lot of the reports on him are a year old. This year Jack is a different player, and is not distributing very well. After he made a name for himself in the tournament, teams have focused on stopping him now, and he's taken a step back from a year ago. He's also not a good shooter off the dribble, which is something Sloan usually looks for in his guards.

    I think John Gilcrist from Maryland would be a great fit for the Jazz. He's a physical guard and will thrive setting the back picks on players to open up the back door cuts the Jazz like to run. He has the tools to be a defensive stopper at the pro level and is also a terrific rebounder for a guard. I like his ability to play big in big games and raises his game against the better competition in the ACC.
