I've seen a lot of great football games over the years... What are some of the best ones you remember? ************ I'm thinking of games like... Bills vs. Oilers Playoff Game - Frank Reich leads the greatest comeback in NFL history against a shell shocked Warren Moon led Oilers team. Bengals vs. 49'ers Superbowl (2nd one) - Amazing last drive by the 49'ers. A great game overall. Bills vs. Giants Superbowl - Scott Norwood! What are you doing? Laces Out! Packers vs. Vikings on MNF - The game where Antonio Freeman had the ball hit him in the back and roll off, then he got up and ran in for a TD. I think the Vikings missed two field goals at the end of that game, too. ************ I could probably list ten or twelve more, but what games do you guys remember most?
Titans vs. Bills 2000 Wild Card Playoff aka "Music City Miracle" Dolphins vs. Jets MNF in 2001. The game that went until like 1:30 AM. Patriots vs. Panthers Super Bowl Sadly enough, I remember the 1998 and 2000 NFC championship games all too well.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BearsFan1)</div><div class='quotemain'>Super Bowl XX </div> I think that post deserves no response
Colts vs. Bucs 2003 mnf game The Colts trailed 21-0 at the half and 28-7 after three quarters. Down 35-14, James Mungro scored on a 3-yard run with 3:37 left, Idrees Bashir recovered the onside kick, and 68 seconds later Peyton Manning hit Marvin Harrison for a 28-yard TD. With only 1:41 left and the ball on their own 15, the Colts drove 85 yards for the game-tying TD with 35 seconds remaining. Then Mike Vanderjagt kicked the game-winning field goal from 29 yards out with 3:47 left in OT. No NFL team had ever recovered to win when down by three or more TDs with less than four minutes remaining. That comeback is just unheard of probably one of the best MNF games.
1982 Playoff Game - Chargers @ Dolphins I remember feeling so sick when the Dolphins fell behind 24-0 early in the game and then just before halftime, sorrow turned to elation, as Stock hit Nathan who laterialed to Duriel Harris (I believe) to trim the lead to 24-17. It was at that moment that I thought the Dolphins had a real chance to comeback and win the game. Dec. 85 - Bears @ Dolphins This is the biggest win the Dolphins have had since I became a fan. I became a football fan two years too late to see the Super Bowl wins, but I did get to see Marino and Co. defend the Perfect Season. Jan. 93 - Oilers @ Bills I was joyfully anticipating the end of the Bills season when they pulled off the craziest comeback I had ever seen until I saw the Colts rally against the Bucs. The so-called Monday Night Miracle loses points since the Jets came back against a Jay Feeble quarterbacked team. Those are the first three that come to mind.
1998 NFC Championship game Vikings - Falcons. I still cannot belive that Gary Anderson missed that FG
New England vs. Oakland in the playoffs...the "Tuck Rule" game. I didn't agree with the outcome, but that was an amazing game to watch. Good call on that Indianapolis/Tampa Monday Night Game. I'm still stunned by the outcome...
so many... hmm think, ones i was alive for. 1. Oilers Bills. i was really young, but my dad said i was watching it with him, so i took his word for it. 2. Tiatans Bills- Music city Miracle 3. Titans Rams- Super Bowl, we all remember that 4. Carolina Rams- 2 O/Ts
1) The 82 playoff game between SD & Miami 2) Miami vs Jets I can't recall when it was played. It featured the famous clock play where Marino faked the spike & threw a TD. 3) MNF last yr Dolphins vs Patriots
I remember the 49er vs Giant game in the playoffs where the 49ers made a incredible 2nd half comeback i'm not sure how many points it was but it was at least 30. Great game damn i'm ready for the season already lets gooooo
Speaking of the Giants and 49'ers...the year the Giants kicked the last minute field goal to prevent the big "Threepeat" en route to playing the Bills was another awesome game. Joe Montana...finally denied!
1. Packers Raiders 2003 December 22nd-The day after his Fathers passing Brett and co. delivered an amazing performance thrashing the raiders. 2. Panthers Rams 2003 Divisional Championships- Double Overtime, One of the best games I have ever Seen it was just alot of fun to watch. 3. Panthers Patriots Superbowl- Another great one, started off slow but once it started it never stopped! 4. Packers Broncos Superbowl- Awsome Shoot out, in the end my boys came up short to one of the best QB's of all time John Elway
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Packers Broncos Superbowl- Awsome Shoot out, in the end my boys came up short to one of the best QB's of all time John Elway</div> That was a great game. I was soooo sick that day. I was puking every twenty minutes and wrapped in four blankets, trying to keep down 7up and saltines. Of course at the end of the game, I was even SICKER about the loss...but it was still an awesome game. Why Holmgren gave up on the run in the second half is beyond me. *shrugs* Oh, well...
