<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">There was mild interest from a handful of teams and rumors to accompany it, but George stayed put.

"I want to stay here," he said. "I didn't want to have to relocate and start over for the second half of the season."

George has not played this season because of numerous complications related to ankle surgery last July. About the only significant thing to happen to him this season was his election as the team's player representative for the union.

George initially was expected to return in mid-November, but the muscles in his upper left leg atrophied while his left ankle was immobilized for a month in a walking boot. He also developed tendinitis in his left knee.

George said he would be healthy enough to play on a three-game trip that begins Sunday against the Toronto Raptors.</div> Source
Getting paid $4.5M a year to drive around in a Mercedes and watch every Laker game on the Laker bench would make anyone happy. George better earn his money once he steps on the court and improve the Laker defense.

Well, he can't play much worst then Luke has ...

This probably pushes Bobbitt back to the IR ... it's unfortunate because I really wanted to see what he can do ... but apparently he's not doing enough in practice to warrant playing time

George knows the triangle, that is a plus for having him. And like nMg said, he can't be worse than Luke right now.

I like George, I think he can help us out off of the bench. He can go into his shooting slumps, but he is also a threat to hit the open 3.

George will be ready tommarrow in toronto?? Niice.

Any help right now is welcome and george will obviously need a few weeks or so to get back into game shape both physically and mentally. When all of the lakers top 2 bottom can get healthy and start playing together, and as the lineups start fitting we will see just how well these boys can do.
