<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">When the Seattle SuperSonics were blowing out the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday night, coach Nate McMillan inserted rookie Robert Swift with six minutes left in the game ? a few minutes earlier than he usually inserts his deep reserves in a lopsided contest. ?I wanted to get him in a little sooner than usual so I could get him in with some of the guys who are regulars out there,? McMillan said. ?Just look at him, give him a chance to play with some of the first and second units.? Swift, who has played just 37 minutes this season, said he has modest goals. ?I just want to get the experience to play,? Swift said. ?Play in the paint. Remember all the plays. Be in the right spots.? A funny thing happens, though, when Swift enters a game. The entire Sonics bench gets on its feet and starts cheering as McMillan calls plays for Swift. They badly want the 19-year-old to succeed, to score. He has made one basket in four attempts this season, passing out of a double-team several times during the victory over New Orleans. ?I hear them,? Swift said. ?But if you have three guys guarding me and two guys who are open and somebody else has an easier shot, then I want that guy to take the shot. I?m not going to force anything.?</div> Source
