<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">One season later, the circumstances involving Kobe Bryant's legal matters could not have been more different.
Bryant was scheduled to spend Friday giving a deposition in the civil suit brought by his Colorado accuser. Yet Bryant found a way to attend the morning shootaround and arrived at Staples Center several hours before the Lakers game against the Detroit Pistons.

Forward Lamar Odom said he and his teammates did not even know Bryant had legal issues to deal with, a notable contrast from last season, when Bryant played in five games after flying in from court appearances in Eagle, Colo., earlier in the day.

"You wouldn't ever know," Odom said. "Kobe would be a great poker player."</div> Source

I'm glad to hear he's making an effort to limit the distractions his situation may cause. It didn't help the end result unfortunately.

KB8 has always been beyond his years in mostly every aspect. If im not mistaken, kobe was beating grown men in basketball at the age of 8 (not really sure, read somewhere he used to play against his dads teammates etc in italy, not sure exactly how old but he was young...ill have to look it up).

Kobe has really taken strides to get his career back in line after such a huge blow. I think it will just take time, of course there are always gonna be people who veiw kobe as this "rapeist" much like OJ Simpson is known as a murderer by most. However kobe is young and though hes playing in his 8th pro season, hes only 26. If he plays until his early 40's at the level he is and has yet to reach not only will alot of records be re-written, i think the public veiw of him would be primarly based upon his Game. That is if he continues to be the Kobe before the allegations.
