1. N O Hornets - Chris Paul (since Glenn Robinson was acquirred) 2. Atlanta Hawks - Andrew Bogut (they need a center, their only good one was Theo Ratliff) 3. Charlotte Bobcats - Marvin Williams (need young players but really need a point guard. They need Chris Paul) 4. GS Warriors - Chris Taft (need a replacement fot Adonyl Foyle) 5. Utah Jazz - Ray Felton (need a point guard. I think Aaron Miles should be a top 10 pick though.) 6. Milwaukee Bucks - Martynas Andriuskevicius (need a center) 7. NY Knicks - Gerald Green (need a SF he is a young one too out of HS) 8. Toronto Raptors - Rashad McCants (Great ball player. could help them out if they put Mo P at SF) 9. Portland Trailblazers - Hakim Warrick (need a SF to replace paterson) 10. NJ Netts - Tiago Splitter (need a center to make this team good)
Too early to say. Right now, Chris Paul, Andrew Bogut and Martynas Andriuskevicius are all looking to be top 5 picks. Chris Taft is projected to be one too, but their are a lot of other players rising. Give it a while. When the lottery is set, then it can be time to start predicting.

It won't be clear until the lottery is picked though.
Even more significant is who actually declares. Many tend to assume who that will be somewhat based on pre-season assumptions that some guys would be in and others would not. Chris Taft and Marvin Williams,I think could use another season to evolve their game. On the other hand Diogu can be top 10 and he had a very solid season, plus Ariz St is not going final 4 even if he returns. Hakim Warrick put on a helluva show today on the tube,vs Providence, and is a senior, and a "safe" pick,in that he will be a good pro real quick,he has the work ethic and quickness and skills. He may not be an all-star but he won't be a flop. Taft was also on the tube today. So far I must have missed the games where he looked like a lottery player. Ariz's Channing Frye has frequently shown me more-yet the "consensus has him way lower. I've seen Sheldon Williams do very impressive things-would absolutely pick him above Taft, and yet the "consensus" is he is not top 10 and so won't even enter. The consensus may change as the draft nears and the rumors have more substance. I expect we also will get a more up to date sense of what various HS and foreign prospects have done lately
pointless This is more pointless than trying to have an intelligent conversation with Tim Thomas!! First of all you dont know who will finish where and then from there we have the lottery. Plus we cant be sure which underclassmen / high schoolers will declare. Also dont double post.
Bogut is the only real 7 ft C who looks ready to play now, some others might be okay by 2007,or not,and there are guys who might play c +f,andyet are far from dominant C material. The dropoff from Bogut to whoever is huge. Paul has an edge on Felton and a few other point G's,Warrick is a senior,so he's in the draft and he's NBA ready. Diogu will be top 10 even if NBA Draft.Net prefers some young kids who have done nothing. It's a pretty safe bet most teams now in the bottom 10 will be there when the season ends, the pingpongs will decide who is first etc.
This post is useless and a repeat. First you need to wait and see who declares and wait to see the lottery to see who falls into what pick, and what players are going to available. This is a post that needs to be saved until about Mid May and then pass along your "valued" opinion based on the current facts. Guessing the Top 10 picks now is like guessing next years Academy Award winners.
I dont know the top ten but i can tell you who is going to be somewhere in there (dont know what order) Bogut,Paul, Warrick,Taft,FElton,McCants,Marvin Williams,Deron Williams, Diogu, and Gerald Green. Some might not agree with Green but Ive heard a lot about him and people are sayin hes good. I think he could be a top 10 pick.
I think Rudy Gay could actually be a top 3 pick if he decided to jump out of school. And Chris Taft would get eaten alive as a NBA center, plus he is not even that great and needs to stay in school. Check out www.nbadraft.net
This is too premature. You don't know what will happen at the end of the season, who will declare and things like that.
We could easily say any talk of draft or trade or free agents is premature-so should we replace all such threads with one on which CBA guy will get a 10 day deal?
addition in addition to this being a bad idea saying that tiago splitter will get past the Knicks to number #10 ... not happening....the knicks would grab him earlier
Getting my first chance to see Bogut play I belive he will be wearing an atlanta hawks jersey next season...
I won't say who will go where, but I think any of these guys could easily be top ten. Chris Paul - Wake Forest Rudy Gay - Connecticut Marvin Williams - North Carolina Raymond Felton - North Carolina Danny Granger - New Mexico Taylor Coppenrath - Vermont Francisco Garcia - Louisville Andrew Bogut - Utah Julius Hodge - North Carolina State John Lucas - Oklahoma State Joey Graham - Oklahoma State Sean May - North Carolina Lawrence Roberts - Mississippi State Channing Frye - Arizona Craig Smith - Boston College Ryan Gomes - Providence Kennedy Winston - Alabama Deron Williams - Illinois Hakim Warrick - Syracuse Wayne Simien - Kansas I know I am probably missing tons of players. I didn't even go into high school and international. But any one of those guys could either plummet or rise in or out of the lottery. And a lot of them have to declare.
I think Andrew Bogut will be the #1 pic, especially if ATL gets that pick. Marvin Williams behind him IMO, then Chris Paul. I would love to see the Lakers trade up for a top 6 pick so they can secure a good pg like Paul, Jack, or Felton.
I hope Marvin doesn't declare, needs a bit more schooling in my view, UNC is the place for him to blossom. Imagine next years draft class if he Marvin doesn't declare this year: Rudy Gay, Marvin Williams, Yi Jian Lin (something like that) 3 future NBA Stars IMO. Oden is the best of the bunch, but it looks like he'll be going to College.
Picks most of my sources (espn.com) say that gay will most likely stay in school one more year. If charlie V also stays UConn national champs 06 BABY!!
