It was a closely battled game throughout and even with Webber's and Iverson good statlines, it came down to a whole team pulling together. The Kings even without Webber had a lot of firepower from all angles, having six players in double figures. Two of those firemen were former Sixers Kenny Thomas, who garnered a double-double and Corliss Williamson who came close to one.

Iverson was just four rebounds shy of a triple double, a sight seen so often this season. With Iversons play as is, and Webber getting more accustomed to the defense, the Sixers should be a powerhoust in teh second half of the NBA season. I for one, can't wait!

Tough loss but I'm not really suprised. Chris only had 1 practice with us and it was most likely a limited one due to his knee, so I'm sure the first few games may be a struggle for him and the Sixers as a whole. Hopefully they'll be able to over come that and end the 3 game losing streak against the Bucks on Tuesday.

After are new faced Sixer team gets more playing time together, then Webb and are other players will begin to mesh and get a feel for each others game Then we will start winning games, especially the ones that come down like this.

The more they play the better they will mesh. I for one can really see them going on a tear and winning multiple games in a row. I can see maybe 9 straight wins!!! Webber will be learning the system for a bit so we have to be patient, but with a talent like Webber, playing on skill alone will help the sixers to some more wins. Wish he had hit the shot to tie against his former team. That would have been some fairytale type stuff!!!

Yeah the whole day was a crazy for Webber. I heard he went from Sactown to Dallas to Sac. again then to like Florida then to Philly. We saw many flashes of what this team and what C-Webb can be in the future. I liked that 11 rebound stat he had.

Webber will have to adjust, he just had his first practice with the team and Coach O'brien said after the game that he had only seven plays to run for this game because of Webber and Rogers. Webber will have some time to rest after traveling from Sacramento to Washington for his physical, then Washington to Philly for his first game. A long day for C-Webb.

Don't worry people. Webb and AI really look like they are going to fit well together.

Just remember that it was our 1st time with the new guys and JO runs a different offense that any other style in the NBA.

Plus I think the Barnes and Bradley will soon get floortime, once they learn the offense.

Yeah, it's definitely going to take a little bit to get adjusted to the Sixers offense, but he still had an okay game by getting a double-double. AI also looked much more comfortable out there by dishing out 14 assists...

well, if webber made more of his jumpers, we definitely would have won this game. He took TONS of outside jumpers but it seemed like none of them were fallling(except the first two)

Webber took the average amount of shots he took, and only made 7 of them, but that's ok.

This wasn't a win that we should have expected... We basically took our whole four position, transformed it, and then put it out on the floor. Just look at it this way... Even with all of these factors put into play, this game was almost won. If not for those missed free throws by Sammy at the end, who knows?

The main thing I want to result in this deal besides the fact of getting AI a second option is for the game to become easier for Dalembert and in turn, for him to become more effective. Last night he played only 27 minutes due to foul trouble (5). He did match CWebb's board count with 11 however and shot 4-6 from the field for a total of 8 points.

BTW-Cuttino Mobley is a jerk... Did anyone see what he did to Iguodala at the end of the game before he took his free throws?

Right before Iggy shot his free throws, he went up to him and patted him on the back. It was basically signifying that when Iguodala shot that three at the end, he wasn't really fouled... The referee gave him those shots.

On the radio, the Sixers announcer was irate. Very unsportsmanlike...

Well, I sorta expected this. This was Webber's first game with Philadelphia so theres obvious there's going to be a period of time before the team really meshes. Overall, it a was a pretty nice game except I would of liked it better if Webber didn't take as many jumpers but instead focus on the inside. Great game for Kenny Thomas and Williamson, so I hope they have a good future with Sacramento. Anyways, tough loss-but players just need to redefine their role on the team, and when that happens, wins are going to be coming our way.

From what I've seen in that game, there's a chance that this relationship between AI & CW might not work, but I've seen by far more positives than negatives. And judging by that game alone, I say as of right now there is a 70% chance of this working out. It may not be fare to predict their outcome based on one game, but sometimes first impressions say everything. So in terms of first impressions, I like what I seen on the court?

In order for this to work Iverson needs to share the ball a little more. Ironically he was holding on more to the ball with Webber on the court, I've seen him share the ball a little more when it was Kenny Thomas in place of Webber. On the flipside, I like Webber in the high posts. It could really work but he has to be willing to stay in the low post equally enough as he does on top of the key. Also, Iverson must be aware to get the ball and have a catch and shoot mentality at times. Webber feeds him the ball when he's cutting around the rim and Iverson shy's away from scoring under the rim and he dribbles the ball out. It seems as if he's very conscious about getting his shot blocked under the rim whenever he receives the ball from that angle. So Iverson needs to be willing to take those shots whenever Webber sets him up, he's gotten to use to scoring his points on isolation plays and he going to have to be willing to let other guys set him up. And as a footnote, the supporting cast needs to step up as well and not rely on C-Webb and AI to get them better. I could very well see them slack and rely on Iverson and C-Webb to make them better.

So that was pretty much by summary on what I?ve seen. This relationship has so much potential and I?m eager to see what happens. Again, this is just one game and what I?ve seen was overly decent.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"Yeah, I'm anxious to come to practice," he said. "And that let me know that my career is definitely turning for the better."

Iverson's aversion to practice, particularly during Larry Brown's years as the Sixers' coach, is legendary. But the soon-to-be 30-year-old team captain realizes that the Sixers must move swiftly to familiarize the newly acquired Webber, Rodney Rogers, Matt Barnes and Michael Bradley with their offensive and defensive systems.

So practice time is precious - and necessary. That is why the Sixers got together at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine yesterday to study video and work on the court for nearly two hours on what normally would have been a day off.

"We don't have time to waste," Iverson said. "We've got to get it done right now somehow. The concentration level has to be that much higher in all of these practices, getting things taken care of on the court. We've just got to adjust faster.

"Coming into practice today, I was telling my teammates that it felt like Christmas morning, knowing the roster looks like it looks right now. I know we've got to get a lot of things together as far as our chemistry, but I'm still anxious to get out there on the basketball court."</div>

    Chris Speaks On His Game

    <div align="center">[IMG]</div>

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Chris Webber:</div><div class="quote_post">

    On the Game
?I?m disappointed. I wanted to win bad, and I know these guys wanted to win for me. And we had our chances at the end. A team playing its first day together, it?s not acceptable, but you see where the improvement can be made. And there?s so many little things. And those little things take time. You?ve just got to get to know each other. So I?m definitely disappointed about the loss, but I?m encouraged about the team I?m on here because I think we have a lot of good pieces, and I actually got to play with these guys. So I?m encouraged, definitely.?

    On the Last Play
?I think we missed the free throws, and Allen said ?Come back to me. Don?t go inside because I?m gonna hit it hard. And for some reason that play never works, and I just knew it was going to work this time. It bounced, I tried to get it out of my left hand and throw it up, thinking time and all that, and then there was more time than I thought. After I missed it, it was a letdown. I just tried to get the rebound and force it back up as quick as I could to tie the game, but it didn?t go. Believe me, I wanted to win and make that more than anybody, but tonight it just didn?t happen. But we?ve got a game Tuesday and we?ll be ready.?

On Playing Against His Old Teammates
?It was cool. It was more like an intense practice, because like I said, it?s just been two days. I wasn?t even able to build up anger, just energy, trying to play. But we have them again, and I?m sure next time we won?t be so familiar.?

    On Playing With Allen Iverson
?He?s incredible. The one thing I will say is I?m coming from one great point guard to one of the greatest, so that?s another thing, just the movements. Mike is deadly and slow. [Iverson is] quick, sassy? he?s gonna hurt you bad, quick. So there?s differences like learning pacing, learning what guys are like, learning their pet moves, and things like that. I just tried to stay out of A.I.?s way. Before I could go back and forth and pick and run all day, but I just tried to let him feel as comfortable as he could so that he could keep this thing going while I fit in. I need to make an adjustment to the team. The team doesn?t need to adjust to me.?

    On Whether He Was Nervous
?Oh, definitely. I?m human. But it was the good butterflies. Before a job interview, if you have a good feeling about it; before a game, if you have a good feeling about it - those things that you have a good feeling about but your stomach?s still nervous, that?s what it was. It wasn?t a fear or scare because usually you?re nervous up until the jump ball, and when the fans did that and I hit my first shot and they reacted that way, it was like, ?OK, this is gonna be home.? It felt great, from the signs to everybody. I?m just disappointed that I couldn?t bring a win home.?
