Brief Notes:
<ul>
[*]The Sonics come into this game winner of three straight. This is the first game of a three game road trip. This game also marks the first time Ray Allen has been back to Milwaukee to face his former team. He was traded on February 20, 2003 and missed both games against the Bucks last year due to injury.
<ul>
[*]Milwaukee hasn't been able to enjoy the same success that they had last year under Terry Porter. They recently traded their third and fourth leading scorers, Keith Van Horn (Dallas) and Mike James (Houston) along with Zendon Hamilton (Houston) for former Sonic Calvin Booth, Reece Gaines, draft picks, and cash. All of the Bucks new additions will be available for Sunday's game.
<ul>
[*]Useful/less stat of the day: The Sonics are 3-0 against the Bucks since the 2003 blockbuster trade that sent Gary Payton and Desmond Mason to the Bucks for Ray Allen, Ronald Murray, and Kevin Ollie. Last season Murray averaged 21.5 points against his former team.
<ul>
[*]Word of the day: Salutation n. "sign of greeting: a gesture or phrase that is used to greet, welcome, or recognize somebody"
"It is predicted that the Bucks' fans will give both Ray Allen and Ronald "Flip" Murray a warm salutation."

Fast Eddie (to Bert Gordon): I got my character in a hotel room in Louisville.
Minnesota Fats: Shoot pool, Fast Eddie.
Fast Eddie: I'm shooting pool, Fats. When I miss you can shoot.

All predictions, analysis, and discussion relating directly to this match up--pre-game, in-game, and post-game--are to be posted in this thread.

Awful first half for Sonics! Awful! 29,5 % shooting - that's beyond my wildest nightmears!

I wake up at 1:30...come downstairs...realize that the Sonics are on...turn the game on...and they're down by over 20 points to the Bucks. Wow.

This has to got to be the worst game we played all year, even worst than opening night against the clips. Only 29% percent from the field, pathetic!

It was just one of those games were nobody was hitting. They need to just forget about this game and move on to the next.

We have to be able to get some scoring from the post when we aren't hitting from the perimeter. We only have one bona fide slasher on the team so we have to find a way to get buckets in the paint. Early this year we were doing that w/ offensive rebounding but it seems as if we've gotten lazy in that area.

Smaller teams are going to continue to give us trouble if we don't punish them inside. It's time for players like Radmanovic, Collison, and Allen to start exploiting some size advantages that they have in the post instead of hanging around the perimeter (in the case of Collison, setting screens on the perimeter). Shard is not a consistent low post threat. James needs to get more touches too but he is capable of getting double figures when our perimeter players look for him.

I'm very interested how we will play against the likes of the Bulls, Wizards (second time around), Magic (second time around), and any other team that decides they are going to try to beat us w/ quickness as oppose to size. Anyone who has paid attention to us all year knows that we guard the paint a hell of a lot better than we guard the perimeter.
