Bell would cherish the chance to finish what he helped start in Utah's first post-Stockton, post-Malone season.</div> <div align="center">Link</div>
of course he wants something long term. Thats what everbody wants. Not to move around. To settle down and play for one team.
But this is the Jazz. They struggle to bring in Free Agents because they are based in Utah. Players saying things like this is rare. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"I've always said, and I won't waver on it, that the Jazz would be my choice," he said. "I like playing for Jerry (Sloan). I like the attitude, and the style of play here. It's the best fit for me since I've been in the NBA, hands-down.</div> - Raja Bell Everyone wanting a long term deal is true, but someone wanting a long term deal in Utah is rare. I think the Jazz should give him this deal, Bell is a 3 point threat who plays good D. He is also a leader on court, and is one of the few bright spots of the season for Utah.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Stockton:</div><div class="quote_post">He is also a leader on court, and is one of the few bright spots of the season for Utah.</div> He is also a good leader off the court, not one shy to call someone out, and like you said, he is one of the few bright spots for us this year. I say give him a 4 year contract, Raja is a guy who doesn't care about starting or coming off the bench. So if we find or Synder improves, he won't be p'ed about coming off the bench.
After watching Bell kill the Rockets with his long range shooting yesterday, I'd like to give my thoughts on this. In my opinion, any player who has game and actually wants to stay around should get their wishes granted. I'm sure he's become a Sloan favorite with his defense, and he is really a veteran who probably won't complain much. Role players like him and Harpring are essential around Boozer and Kirilenko. Sign him to a three-year deal or something.
