<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Anthony first heard about Smith from his high school coach, Steve Smith of Oak Hill (Va.) Academy. Oak Hill's NBA alumni include Anthony, Jerry Stackhouse, Jeff McInnis, DeSagana Diop, Steve Blake, Stephen Jackson, Cory Alexander and Rod Strickland. The latest to join that list is Josh Smith, whom Steve Smith once called Oak Hill's best athlete ever.

Anthony was in awe last year when he watched highlights of Josh Smith at Oak Hill. Anthony also saw Smith play at the 2004 McDonald's All-American High School game.

"His jumping ability is out of this world," Anthony said. "He went to my high school, Oak Hill. When Coach Smith sent me some highlight tapes of him, I was like, 'Who is this cat here?"'

Martin, a former New Jersey Net, saw Smith play for Oak Hill in Trenton, N.J., last season. Smith and Martin have since kept in touch and share the same agent, Brian Dyke. Martin and Smith also share an extraordinary leaping ability, powerful dunking style and intimidating shot-blocking skills.</div> Source

Talked to Josh this morning, he said he finds it funny how everyone is now a Josh Smith man.
