When Coach Smith sent me some highlight tapes of him, I was like, 'Who is this cat here?"' Martin, a former New Jersey Net, saw Smith play for Oak Hill in Trenton, N.J., last season. Smith and Martin have since kept in touch and share the same agent, Brian Dyke.
