Which Manning will get to the super bowl first? I beleive Eli, Peyton needs to face NE as well as some of the hardest teams in the NFL. While the Giants need to face the eagles and thats about it.
In a crazy way i agree with you. The giants will make it to the super bowl first with eli at the helm...but i also believe that if the giants played the colts the colts would massacre them. My reasoning behind this is that the AFC is much stronger than the NFC as far as depth is concerned. The giants would have to get through the eagles, atlanta, GB, and Minnesota, and u cant count out Carolina i believe they will be tough this year. Though i believe peyton is far better than eli, he will make it to a super bowl first
You have to look 2 - 3 years down the line. By that time NFC will be strong again, and AFC will start to weaken, it's all cycles.
True but i believe the giants will shock some people this year, Eli matured very rapidly the last couple games of the season, and the addition of plaxico burress doesnt hurt, and tho i still believe the eagles will win the NFC with or without TO i believe the giants still have a better shot sooner. The colts need to re budget their finances before they have a shot.
So you are telling me that in the next 10 years you dont beleive either one will make it to the super bowl, I find that amazing.
Sure. Why not? Its not easy to get to the SB. Its very possible that neither of them get to the big game.
If I was betting an over/under line on total Super Bowls appeared in by Manning brothers and the line was set at 1, I would be hard pressed not to bet the over....
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>So you are telling me that in the next 10 years you dont beleive either one will make it to the super bowl, I find that amazing.</div> Well...Harrison and Edge are getting older. Manning and Harrison got HUGE contracts that are going to impact the salary cap majorly in a few years. They still have no defense to speak of. The Patriots are still stacked and teams like the Ravens and Raiders and Bengals and Texans are all getting better all the time. Remember when the Rams were loaded on offense like the Colts are now? It took teams about three years to figure out how to stop that offense. This will be the year that every team gives the Colts a hard time because the defenses will adjust. As for the Giants? Eh...who knows? Eli hasn't played enough for me to figure out if he's going to be any good or not. They still need help on both sides of the ball. Besides all that, both are only a QB sack away from career ending injuries as well. Peyton has been really durable, but he hasn't been hit much, either. Overall, I think the odds favor "neither makes it" at this point. I'll be the first to say "oops" if I'm wrong, but somehow I doubt it...

We signed Antonio Pierce to play MLB, we have Strahan coming back a DL, and Osi Umenyiora in limited action had a great season. We have the Will's who have progressed every year going into their 4th season. They are set on D. We also drafted 2 great guys this year in Webster, who is an interception machine, and Tuck from Notre Dame who is their leading Sack Leader all time. On O, they have IMO the second best offense in the league if.....IF Eli performs, they will be the best O in the league. A Top 5 TE, Barber had the second most yards in the league last year. They aquired Burress. They signed Kareem Mackenzie and they will get Shaun O'Hara back and they signed Bob Whitfield!

I went for Eli..Because of his NCAA stats and he will get revenge on his older brother...I hope he does.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Please explain to me where the Giants need help on either side of the ball.</div> The Giants had the worst corps of receivers in football last year. Hilliard and Toomer were a joke! Hilliard's gone, replaced by Burress, but Toomer's over 30 now and there's no way to know if Burress can be a legitimate #1. Shockey? Coughlin has him blocking now. He's not much of a receiving threat in that offense. The offensive line could use some help, too, if you ask me. Yes, they gave up a lot fewer sacks in 2004 than they did in 2003, but part of that was because Manning got pretty good at running for his life. They might be okay. Defense? Yes, they should be fairly solid. But...they were 13 in total defense last year ONLY because they were fifth against the run. Their defense this year will be only as good as their corners. They're in a tough division. Philadelphia and Dallas should both finish higher in the standings. Washington, as always, will be this year's doormat. I'm no expert on the Giants, quite honestly. I know you know your team better than I do. Like I said...if Eli does anything in the NFL as a QB, I'll eat my words.
I would have to go w/ Peyton. Its only a matter of time before Indy ends their losing streak to the Pats. The Giants are still 2 to 3 yrs away IMO. Its a stretch but maybe SB 43 will be the Colts vs Giants.
The results are in. It's a 3 way tie; Archie, Peyton, Eli. However, there seem to be some discrepancies in Palm Beach County Florida where Al Gore has received some write in votes.
