I am very happy that we pulled away with a victory in this game tonight. I was at the game and it was a fun game to go to.(my first game of the year) My initial thoughts was our starting lineup played great offensively, everyone had double figure points and really stepped up when it mattered. Our offense was definetely clicking with 114 pts. Our defense sucked though. Bibby, Mobley, Songaila and Peja kept getting wide open looks. I dont' know how you can let Peja run down the court stand in the corner and no one is near him at all. Also Doug Christie barely played at all. It was probably partially due to the great play of Jameer Nelson and Steve Francis. Both were definetely on their games tonight. Also Dwight Howard had a great game 20 and 16 and 3 blocks, but the one thing that I have to complain about is where was he the final 8 mins? JD seemed to bench the kid. Yes I know he needs a breather, but rest him for 4 mins and bring him in stronger then ever. He is just explosive, he had so many dunks and he was like 8-8 from the line(maybe 6-6, don't know for sure). Also JD brought Garrity in at the end for our final offensive possession. Garrity had like 4 mins of play time before and was way off rythm. The last of my JD complaining is that Turkoglu made 3 or 4 shots in a row early in the 4th and then he doesn't play again. It should have been Turkoglu in instead of Garrity. Sorry to take away from the win, because it was a good one, I'm just pissed off at JD.
Will we see the kings with their entire roster intact before the end of the season (includes playoffs).Im sure most Kings fans are about as frustrated as I am with the way injuries have hit this team recently.Tonight it was Brad miller.I have to say its good to see Peja score a whole bunch of points though.Dwight Howard is and will become even more of a BEAST.Elite powerforward/center in 3 years.
That was a great offensive win for us. As you say sports we just clicked big time. Those starters showed exactly why they are the first 5 with big numbers. I think that hedo needs more time in the middle of the game, because he can punish the other team, especially with his height, and if he's playing against bench players he has quite a easy ride. Dwight does have to play at the end of the game definatly. Hes our best rebounder, one of our best blockers (or at least showing potential above that of Cato and Battie, seasoned shot blockers), and he has the legs to run the court fast and be a big threat under the ring for offensive rebounds. He wasnt even in foul trouble last night. In fact he had 5 to give, so hes a valuable source of fouls of need there last night. Awsome game from the back court last night. Glad to see Jameer hit his season high again, hes improving something each game, last night it was points and combination with Stevie. As for stevie, out of his slump and we see what he does best, score and dish the ball out early. Cant forget the big man Cato though, he had a great game, great to see him hit a double double, just shows how solid a player he is, thats exactly the sorta game we want from him. Defense yes was shocking, but more, as usual, on the perimeter at the end game. We always seem to let 3's open up in the final couple of minutes to let a team come back. Sac are a good (v.good) team, and just happy that we didnt have a ugly little L4 by our name.
