Man, I don't know what to think. I'd like to see Williams back in the NFL, but come on... He's facing a 4 game suspension. He basically ruined the Dolphins' chances to do ANYTHING last year. AND there's still that funky lawsuit. I just wish they'd figure out one way or the other what the hell to do about him and get it over with. I'm tired of all the "drama." This is the NFL, not Melrose Place.
ummmm the Dolphins are morons let Ronnie Brown be the rb and get Ricky out of there, i dont understand how you can just accept a guy back like that.
Ricky's agent says he's planning on attending minicamp! Ummm...won't Ricky un-retiring put the Dolphins in salary cap hell?
Ricky's contract was very specific....it had a clause that reduced all Ricky's future salaries to the veteran minimum if he violated the language of the deal, which he did....hes currently signed for several seasons at the league minumum and still owes the whole $8.6 million even if he plays....for that reason, I expect they can trade him....hes not reliable, but hes really cheap and talented....
Everything I read the dolphins plan on keeping and playing him this season. I think he will be very hard to trade, almost impossible, cuz of a unwritten rule in pro sports for almost every player who has a decent amount of talent, NEW TEAM - NEW CONTRACT
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/stor...john&id=2066686 Interesting FAQ about the entire ordeal regarding Ricky Williams...
It can only help the dolphins to get ricky back this year and have him rush for 1000 yards in 12 games. Then he is tradable.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>He can't play, He is 195 lbs. right now! haha what an idiot</div> Looks like someone has been bulking up! Check it out... <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Agent says Williams' weight up to 215 lbs. Ricky Williams has gotten his weight up to 215 pounds, but the bigger issue is that Williams and the Dolphins appear headed toward at least one season together, assuming everything goes as planned. Moreover, the running back likely will get ample opportunity to prove himself after players report to training camp July 24. That's because running back Ronnie Brown, the No. 2 overall pick, probably won't report on time. Williams' agent, Leigh Steinberg, said Wednesday that Williams is up to 215 as he works out in preparation for camp. Steinberg said he spoke with Williams on Tuesday and that Williams sounded "in good spirits and ready to go" after a year away from the NFL.</div>
Don't surprise me he bulked up. I see him playing with Miami this year and splitting time with Ronnie Brown and next off season he is dealt for whatever he is worth. My guess is a 2nd or 3rd rnd pick.
The Dolphins might try to start Williams so that he can get a 1000 yards and then trade him for a 1st round pick. Saban will want to get as much value from him before he gets rid of him.
