<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Jazz often tell free agent hopefuls who don't quite make it in training camp, especially those cut late, that there is a chance a call could come sometime down the line. Once in a while, a few months or so later, it actually happens. For Randy Livingston, the phone rang this week and Utah finally was on the line ? 3 1/2 years after the Jazz waived the former Louisiana State University guard from their 2001 camp. "When you get the call," Livingston said, "it's a rush of adrenaline. "You try not to get too excited," he added, "but you can't help it." Especially not after waiting this long.</div> <div align="center">Link</div>
Randy Livingston has bounced around all over the place but he is a smart/tough player who would seem to fit the mold of a Jerry Sloan point guard. He was unbelievable before he sustained injuries in college. Despite his knee injuries he has worked his way into the league (on plenty of occasions w/ plenty of teams) and has been determined to stay. Hopefully he can play his way into another 10 day contract and then finish out the season. A guy that has had as many setbacks as he has deserves to have some good fortune thrown his way.
He was very solid as a Sonic, particularly in the playoffs (although his inclusion on the playoff roster pretty much meant Earl Watson wasn't coming back). As Shiek said, a phenomenal talent in college.
