<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Ready or not, here comes Sebastian Telfair. The Trail Blazers' rookie point guard is expected to be the biggest beneficiary of the team's newly declared youth movement, which officially begins tonight against the Indiana Pacers at the Rose Garden. Interim coach Kevin Pritchard has said the Blazers' younger players will see more playing time in the season's remaining 27 games, and Pritchard has mentioned none of the younger players more than Telfair. "We are going to let Sebastian create and see what we get out of that," Pritchard said Thursday after his first practice since taking over for the fired Maurice Cheeks. The Blazers have yet to define the extent of the youth movement and whether it will entail a new starting lineup. Pritchard said he will reveal his lineup today after the team's shootaround. Telfair, the 13th pick in the June 2004 draft from Lincoln High in Brooklyn, has averaged 10.5 minutes in 42 games this season. His flashes of brilliance (he scored a career-high 23 points against Charlotte) have been tempered by moments of humility, which have prevented him from playing more than 25 minutes in any game. And while he welcomes more playing time, the ever-confident Telfair said he has played enough this season to come to one conclusion: "I feel like I will be a starting point guard in this league next year," Telfair, 19, said. It appears the rest of the season also will include increased playing time for guard Richie Frahm and forwards Viktor Khryapa and Travis Outlaw, while playing time is expected to be diminished for veterans Damon Stoudamire, Nick Van Exel, Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Ruben Patterson. </div> Source
yea whatever,im getting pretty tired from all of this,Sebastian will be a superstar when he will leave the blazers like Dickau and all thoes guys.
we better not get rid of him. its time the blazers DONT trade a good player. i disagree that Ruben should get less playing time. he was doing so good
if the Blazers are smart they will let Sebastain play 30+ mins versus the Suns tonight, its going to be his type of game, fast paced, no defense, he will do serious damage if they let him play. but will he get the minutes? we shall see.
