<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Nuggets home games have doubled as exorcisms lately.

With their 96-87 victory over Indiana on Thursday at the Pepsi Center, Denver swept its season series from the Pacers for the first time since 1985-86. Denver (29-29) now is tied with the Los Angeles Lakers for the eighth and final Western Conference playoff spot.

For the third straight home game, the Nuggets clinched a sweep they had not pulled off since the days of hair bands and Velcro sneakers.

The 1980s revival started with recent wins over Boston (last sweep 1987-88) and Atlanta (1988-89). Those two teams also contributed to Denver's seven-game home winning streak. Now 12-4 under coach George Karl, the Nuggets have won a season-best five straight games.</div> Source

It seems the hiring of George Karl has done wonders for this team.

Nobody should be surprised. They are playing the way most people thought they were going to be playing when the season started.
