Before I begin I would like to say that this is not intended a Christie bashing thread. I have respect for his ability and unlike some don't care what he does outside basketball. If you want to talk about his wife and what they do together this is not the thread you should be looking at.

I was reading this article today and while I do symphatise with Christie on the difficulties of being traded I thought that he ought to try and accept it. Players get traded all the time and very few single players if any can really consider themselves in a safe position. Trading players is part of the NBA business and it comes with being a player on any team.

Perhaps I am wrong and more players find it very hard being trade, but just do not talk about it, although it's hard to really say. I thought I would just try and get anybody else’s input on that idea.

Not really sure why you are saying that he should really just deal with it.
The man did report & does play (well.. at least he is in uniform even if it is on the bench now). Its fairly obvious that this took him kinda hard.

But compare his situation with some others who were traded this year & just flat refused to report. sounds to me like you should be telling those guys to just deal with it because DC while obviously not happy, at least reported & is honoring his contract unlike others...

I agree with you on that pint and do think the league should do something about preventing players from not reporting to their new teams. The point I was making more was about his sulking over his past, watching all those tapes and just becoming more withdrawn as the article suggests.

I have a strong feeling that Christie will be back in Sac, not as a player, but somehow involved with this organization. Perhaps front office staff or on the coaching staff.
Which is something I would certianly welcome!

    I'll second that option.
