When you look at the box score the Sixers had a well-rounded game offensively and it seemed as if everyone was involved in the offense. It's really good to see Webb get a good game with 24 points and 12 boards for the Sixers after starting off some what slow. Allen Iverson also had another brilliant game going for 31 points in 9 assists. No matter how sweet this win really was, playing the Cavs still pointed out some problems within the Sixers especially defensively. I'm not exactly sure what kind of defensive strategy the Sixers had in mind but the Cavs really had two huge games from their two all stars which we need to focus on limiting if we want to compete in the playoffs. Even though those players did play big, the Sixers really did a good job on the "other" Cavaliers ( Bron and Z were the only double digit scorers). In all this was really a vital win for us. Hopefully this game will spark the Sixers to finish the season strong and continue into the post season.
Damn...they was puttin up numbers today.. Iverson with 31, 9 assist. Webber with 24, 12 rebs. Dalembert with 15, 5 rebs. Hopefully Chris Webber will keep up numbers like these..
This is what we expect from Iverson and Webber, now we are seeing them gel in the offence together. I went crazy when Iggy dunked it home in the forth quarter. This is going to be a team that if we some how don't get the Atlantic crown that the number one seed wouldn't want to play.
Everything clicked tonight. We saw what Webber could bring to the table and what him and Iverson can become as a duo. How about C-Webb`s through the legs for Sammy? Just amazing.
I was at the game, and its a good thing I was... Webber was flaunting what he could do both in the paint and also with his long range jumper. What I was really impressed with were his passes... Really great. The only thing is that AI has to get used to them. On one play Webber gave him a great pass on a fast break and Iverson bobbled it. I was also impressed with Iguodala. He started off with 6 points in the beginning of the 1st, but was less aggressive for most of the game afterwards. He had monster dunks and beautiful passes. He filled the stat sheet as always with a combo of assists, rebounds, and points. I just think that he would benefit by playing more aggressive on offense. I noticed that Sammy was playing off of Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Early in the game, Zydrunas was getting fouls committed on the Sixers left and right. Because of this, Ilgauskas did go off last night, but Sammy stayed in the game much longer and made a bigger impact. Things didn't go well again for Kyle on offense last night. He did, however, play an Iguodala type game by filling the stat sheet with a low point total. Overall, great game. Four All-Stars on one court should always be a treat to watch.
Good news, we beat a pretty good team last night, and hopefully after a short rough patch are on the way back to .500
If we ccan beat the Cavs like that we should be able to beat anyone on the day. Apart from the shooting percentages, this was a very good game and a sign of things to come. With everyone on the same page, we should win 8 of the next 10 and get us in a good position to win the Atlantic Division Crown. Congrats to Webber, best game as a sixer!!!
Awesome game. I really hope the duo of Iverson and Webber can do this more. The only problem is Webber needs to find his shooting touch, as was evident from the first two quarters of this game- but when he does, man is the other team in trouble. I'm really loving the Iverson to Webber or Webber to Iverson plays but Bled is right, the two still need to develop a stronger chemistry. Everyone came away with pretty nice nights. Dalembert, Korver, Iguodala- just awesome. Dalembert should be playing this way game after game so hopefully he'll keep this up for some more games. Korver on the other hand, didn't play so well, but did manage a bunch of steals so you gotta give him props for that. Iguodala, what can I say- he's going to be a star someday.
