    Explanation:
    First Round:
    East:
    1.Miami vs. 8. Indiana
Miami will dominate this matchup. Without Ron Artest the pacers are at a huge disadvantage already. Indiana doesnt have any answer to Shaq.

    Miami in 4 games

    4.Orlando vs 5.Washington
Orlando has played well against the Wizards so far this sseason. The Magic have found a new heart and have too many weapons for the Wizards.

    Orlando in 6

    2.Detroit vs. 7.Cleveland
Detroit has the playoff and championship experience. One more year for LeBron to develop...one more year... Just a few pieces are still missing from the Cavs like a legit 3-point shooter and a consistent power forward. The Wallaces will own this matchup...

    Detroit in 5

    3. Boston vs 6. Chicago
This was a tough matchup to decide. I think that Boston will win with the experience. Chicago is still a VERY young team and inexperienced in the playoffs.

    Boston in 6

    West:
    1.San Antonio vs. 8.Minnesota

    San Antonio will own this....

    San Antonio in 5

    4.Dallas vs. 5. Houston
Dallas has Dirk Nowitzki who will keep Howard out of the lane with his outside shot. TMac and Yao wont be able to do this alone...

    Dallas in 7

    2. Pheonix vs 7. Memphis

Pheonix's offense will overpower Memphis. Memphis doesnt have enough defense or offense to counter Pheonix in this matchup.

    3. Sonics vs. 6. Sacremento

Sonics will slow down in the playoffs. Sacremento will win this but it will be long and hard.

    Kings in 7

    Second Round:
    East:

    1. Miami vs. 4.Orlando

Miami is just the better team. I believe this would be a very winnable matchup for Orlando but it would be tough. Orlando doesnt have a full answer to Shaq yet. other then that the magic have a slight edge. Expect this to be a long hard matchup..

    Miami in 7

    2. Detroit vs. 3. Boston

Detroit will again show its championship power. It will win this matchup easily with their superior defense and with wallace in the frontcourt.

    Detroit in 5

    West:
    1. San Antonio vs 4. Dallas

In state games so far have shown the Spurs as the superior team. The spurs will play great defense and this will be a fun matchup to watch with Dirk vs TD.

    San Antonio in 6

    2. Pheonix vs 6. Sacremento

Pheonix will overpower *again* Sacremento with their offense.Sacremento will put up a fight but Pheonix's 3 all stars wont let them win.

    Pheonix in 6

    Conference Finals

    East.

    1. Miami vs. 2. Detroit
Detroit's defense will beat Shaq again. This will be a VERY close matchup. Miami will play very consistent but Detroit's defense will be superior.

    Detroit in 7

    West:
    1. San Antonio vs 2. Pheonix

San Antonio's defense will beat Pheonix.

    Spurs in 6

    Finals:

    San Antonio vs. Detroit

This will be a tough matchup. The spurs have much more experience in the playoffs then the Pistons and the Spurs have been waiting for this since their last championship a few years back. Expect a good matchup

    Spurs in 7

Inexperiance or not, who ever is in the 6th spot in the east will advance and might as well sweep the winners of the Atlantic Division.

I would've said that before, but with the Atlantic teams improving, mainly Philly and Boston, they're actually now capable of beating their opponents at 6th depending on who it is. Iverson has shown he can play in the playoffs, and with him having a good second option, he can do damage.

Also the Celtics got Walker, and also got Payton back, they're just getting stacked, that's a team that can beat a lot of teams in the playoffs with the weapons they have.

    East

    1. Miami
    2. Detroit

    8. Minnesota

    Round 1

Miami vs Philadelphia: Miami wins series, 4-2.

Shaq shows us why he's the most dominant center. Dwayne Wade will flourish in his second straight playoff experience. Despite an MVP like season from Allen Iverson, Chris Webber and cast will not pull through and play hard enough.

Boston vs Cleveland: Boston wins series, 4-3.

Despite LeBron James and co., with a strong frontcourt of Paul Pierce and Antoine Walker the Celtics will take this in a long but interesting series.

Washington vs Orlando: Washington wins series, 4-2.

The Wizards are a deep team, and if Steve Francis continues to play the way he is currently, look for The Franchise possibly to be looking for a new home this summer.

Detroit vs Chicago: Detroit wins series, 4-1.

Blowout series, if the Pistons play their D it's over.

Phoenix vs Minnesota: Phoenix wins series, 4-3.

Despite another MVP season from Garnett, the aging backcourt of Sam I Am and Latrell Sprewell, the Wolves will let this one go. Look for the Wolves in 05-06.

San Antonio vs Houston: Houston wins series, 4-2.

I think Houston can go far, if they can maximize their productivity and play like a team, T-Mac and Yao could take this team to the Conference Finals.

Sacramento vs Dallas: Dallas wins series, 4-3.

With a healthy roster, the Mavericks will pull through in a full seven game series. If Dampier, Finley, and Stackhouse stay healthy for the rest of the season, Dallas are ranked high to me.

Seattle vs Memphis: Seattle wins series, 4-2.

Memphis is struggling with injuries, and I don't think that their whole team can stay healthy for the remainder of the regular season. Seattle is one of the deepest teams in the L, and should take this matchup if it happens this way.

I'll finish the rest later... gotta go for now..

    Round 2

Miami vs Boston: Miami wins series, 4-3.

A good matchup. Bostons frontcourt is strong, but they don't have Shaq at center. With strong shooters outside in Damon and Eddie Jones, and with Wade running the team Miami wins this in a seven game series.

Detroit vs Washington: Detroit wins series, 4-2.

Yet again, if the Pistons play their D and have good production from Hamilton, Prince and 'Sheed this should be an easy one.

Phoenix vs Houston: Phoenix wins series, 4-2.

Houston can try, but with Steve Nash dishing 10+ assists a game and Amare pouring in 25+ points a night, and supporting cast members in Marion, Q-Rich and JJ the Suns top this one in six.

Seattle vs Dallas: Seattle wins series, 4-3.

One of the closest matchups of Round 2. With added backcourt player Van Horn the Mavericks get deeper and deeper, but with such a strong outside shooting team with Seattle, Allen and Rashard should take this team to the Conference Finals.

    Conference Finals

Miami vs Detroit: Detroit wins series, 4-3.

Best matchup in my eyes. Shaq and Detroit meet again but this time without Kobe and in his place, Dwayne Wade. This one could go anyway, but I think if Detroit plays Pistons defense and goes pound for pound on the offensive end the Bad Boys should be on their way to the Finals two years in a row.

Phoenix vs Seattle: Phoenix wins series, 4-3.

What did you expect? If all five of the starters from the Suns stay healthy and produce, get good rest for the remainder of the regular season and Nash and co. will be out for their rings.

    Finals

Phoenix vs Detroit: Phoenix wins series, 4-2.

The fast offense of the Suns overcomes, the Pistons can't keep up and will get fatigued faster despite getting more rebounds from Ben Wallace and Rasheed, the Suns will edge this out and win their rings. Don't you agree?

AND WHEN THIS TWO TEAMS MAKE IT TO THE FINALS THIS YEAR, REMEMBER THAT I WAS THE FIRST ONE TO SAY IT.

This predictions are actually very close to what I was thinking so I won't put mine up. I'd love to see a Heat vs. Suns Finals or even a Heat vs. Sonics finals.

The way the Heat are playing right now, IMO, they are the best team in the NBA and are just peaking. But is it to early? If they can continue there play, and stay injury free, I cant see anyone in the East beating them. I think its going to come down to Miami and Detroit in the East, and Phoenix and SA in the West.

My finals prediction is the Heat beating the Spurs in six games.

The Division winners get the top three seeds. Washington and Miami are in the same division, so Boston would be third.

Only if you have seen how the Rockets handled Suns in Phoenix last night... I wouldn't put Phoenix past 2nd round. They are a good team, not quite great yet. No D means no championship.

I dont see many changes happening in the East. The Heat should easily get to the finals

    Spurs
    Suns
    Sonics
    Dallas
    Houston
    Sacramento
    Denver
    Memphis

The Kings and GRizzlies should fall back with the injuries they face right now and Denvers surge. The rockets might even take home court with the mavs also struggling with injuries. The Spurs should get to the finals but theyll really have to earn it. You should also expect some surprises, like houston.

    East First Round

    Miami vs. Chicago
Miami will dominate easily against the still young bulls. The dont have a powerful inside defense to guard shaq and they dont have a skilled defensive guard to play D on Wade. Should be a high scoring series.
    Miami in 4

    Washington vs. Cleveland
Predict a long greuling series..Just like most 4 5 matchups in the east turn out to be...I think lebron and big Z will take over in this series down they stretch. More-so Z taking advantage of Kwame Brown and Haywood inside. Arenas and Hughes jacking up shots will hurt them in this one.
    Cleveland in 7

    Boston vs Indiana
Dont think of it as an upset. the only reason boston is 3rd is because of there weak conference. these 2 teams match up pretty well and i think that JO n Reggie will come thru at the time they need it most. its reggies last year, he needs this one
    Indiana in 6

    Detroit vs. Orlando
dont count out orlando. Detroit had a scare a few years ago when Orlando dominated to take a 3-1 series lead. Ahhh who r we kidding, detroit is gunna spank these young magic......
    Detroit in 5 [IMG]

    East Second ROund
    Miami vs. Cleveland
Z is about the toughest matchup shaq will get in the east aside from Wallace//Wallace. I actually think Z can play decent D on shaq. This series will be tougher then most think. Shaq will get his 20 and 10. Z will get his 18 and 9, takign shaq to the Perimeter. Wade James is a very good matchup even tho they wont be guarding each other. I think this comes down to D.Jones vs. Jeff Mcinnis. I would give the edge to Jeff, but Miami's bench will probably make up for it....expect a good one, im iffy about this but i lik Cavs chances
    Miami in 7

    Detroit vs. Indiana
Is this not the best matchup of the playoffs or what. Wow, this would be crazy, ROn coming to Detroit to sit on the bench Big Ben getting Booed all night in INdy, but i think thats what will Motivate the Pistons to make easy work of Indy...Still these will be fun games to watch
    Detroit in 5

    East Finals
    Miami vs Detroit
Detroits defense will win this for them. Expect score of Detroit 83 Miami 80, Detroit 79 Miami 74. And thats how larry brown likes it. Shaq wont have an easy time with the Wallace Wallace Double teams and i do believe Rip n Prince can hold wade to Low shooting percentages. They did it to shaq n Kobe. Lets See how good the championship defense really is....
    Detroit in 6

    West First ROund
    San Antonio vs. Minnesota
well obviosly this year, but dont count out Miny completely, they do have KG
    San ANtonio in 6

    Dallas vs Houston
Too Much Yao Mac Sura n James. This 4 some will give Mavs already bad defense a even harder time. i dont see Mavs being competitive in this matchup, especially inside with injury prone Dampier.
    Rockets in 5

    Seattle vs. Memphis
ok, forget records, WIthout Pau Gasol and Stromile Swift, there high profile and best big men, Grizz somehow manage a respectible 16-8 record. With them, they are just THAT much better, and hey, they beat the suns in phoenix without gasol. I love Memphis as an Upset in the first round in the west. and has Seattle really proven themselves yet??
    Memphis in 7

    Phoenix vs. Sacramento
Sac just cant hang especially without Webber, and they arent a big running team with Songaila n SKnner in the startin Mix. Amare averages 100 points [IMG]
    Phoenix in 4

    West Second Round
    San Antonio vs. Houston
best most intense matchup of the playoffs. Expect to see Duncan playing on Yao becuz yao will dominate Rasho. T-Mac will get his. Manu Needs to produce or Houston will pull an upset. But He will produce
    San Antonio in 7

    Phoenix vs. Memphis
ok so memphis glory run stops here, not without giving Phoenix a nice first 4 games, tying the series 2-2, and then Phoenix stops messin around
    Phoenix in 6

    West Finals
    San Antonio vs. Phoenix
Phoenix struggled with them win Duncan was out. And wen duncan was in San AN came bak form a 17 point 4th quarter deficit, See Phoenix, Defense does matter.

k, i wont lie, this will be BORRRRRRRRRRIN. Duncan Post Bank shot, Rip Madrange, Duncan Bank Shot, Rasheed Dunk, then 6 str8 blocks. But hey i enjoy defensive struggling matchups. This lies on Big Bens Ability to force Duncan to the Perimeter and dont let him get comfortable with hit turnaround hooks. Both teams have championship experince, even tho San An hasd more, detroit still has it, and with Manu being locked down by an equal speed rip hamilton, Detroit Repeats
    Detroit in 7

ok, forget records, WIthout Pau Gasol and Stromile Swift, there high profile and best big men, Grizz somehow manage a respectible 16-8 record. With them, they are just THAT much better, and hey, they beat the suns in phoenix without gasol. I love Memphis as an Upset in the first round in the west. and has Seattle really proven themselves yet??

WHAT? How have we not proved ourselves but Memphis has? I am sick of people doubting Seattle. We are for real, get used to it.

I think the way Bobcats had it is the way I'm thinking. Pacers don't make the playoffs, Suns or Spurs take 1 seed, with the other following. Then Miami against Phoenix, and Miami in 5. I don't really care how you get there, 'cause I don't think it matters.

Why do people think that Miami will destroy phoenix in the finals? The Suns have destroyed the heat in the regular season so far....

Anyway, I think it is going to be a phoenix Miami finals....But, the suns will be too fast for the aging shaq...The 3's will reign!!

So far? They played one time and the Heat werent at 100%. The Heat are playing in tune right now, and its going to be interesting to see how good the Heat have improved, when they play Phoenix in Miami on the 25th. And as much as Miami has to worry about Phoenix running (which is a game that the Heat have also), Phoenix is not going to be able to stop Shaq, so its a wash. If it came to a seven game series, I cant see the Heat losing to Phoenix.

The Sixers, make the playoffs [IMG] Thank You I was in a bad mood but you sayin that puts me in a good one the sixers are wack. They have four players and thats it. Agin Chris Webber, Da Ball Hog Iverson, Korver (who is only a shooter) and ANdre Igudodala (Spelling?) who I dont have a problem wit. They arent better than Boston or Any of those teams in the East that mostly everybody is naming

    1.Heat
    2.Detroit
    3.Celtics
    4.Wizards
    5.Orlando
    6.Cleveland
    7.Chicago
    8.Pacers
