Cavs: James "We could easily miss the playoffs..." <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"We could easily go down the (tubes) and not make the playoffs," Cavaliers swingman LeBron James said. If they fail to make the playoffs, there's a distinct possibility heads will roll. Cavaliers coach Paul Silas was asked if his team was in danger of not making the playoffs. "I'm not going to get into that nonsense," he said. "I care about how my team is performing. If we continue to perform like we are, everything is in danger." Silas said the players must look in the mirror and do some soul searching. He admitted he must do the same. "When I played the game, I played all out," Silas said. "They are a reflection of me. Maybe I'm not getting it done." When Heat center Shaquille O'Neal was forced to the bench with his fourth foul with 6 minutes, 23 seconds left in the third quarter, fans thought it was time for a Cleveland rally. But it was the Heat (45-16) who went on a staggering 16-4 run to take full command of the game. "It's effort," Silas said. "When Shaq goes out, you have to develop a killer instinct. All I'm hearing is, 'I'm tight. I'm this. I'm that.' The competing is not there." Silas is furious with his team's effort. "I don't see the fire," he said. "I don't see the passion. We have to find a way to get that back because it's killing us. When I look at the stat sheet and we get outrebounded, 55-40, something is wrong. "They have to do some soul searching in there. Either they are going to turn it around or chuck it in. That's one thing I won't allow them to do. This is disappointing. It's not that we lost to a really good team, it's how we lost. We didn't fight." After the loss to Seattle, some of the players said they were starting to feel tight. When he heard that, Silas got even more fired up. "That's part of it, but I don't know where that's coming from," he said. "I want them to shoot the ball with confidence when they are open. That's a cop-out. That's a losing mentality right there.</div> Source
