<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Wesley Person only had seen Marcus Camby from afar. And, actually, he hadn't seen a lot from that distance.

Until last season, Camby was injured nearly as much as he was healthy. And until this season, he wasn't making too many national-television appearances with the Denver Nuggets.

Person signed Thursday with the Nuggets and watched as Camby that night totaled 17 points, 22 rebounds, seven assists and seven blocked shots against Indiana. Then Person looked on Saturday as the 6-foot-11 center totaled 14 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, three steals and three blocks in a 105-89 road win against the Los Angeles Clippers, the team's sixth consecutive victory.

"It's not a negative thing, but I was kind of surprised," said Person, a guard in his 11th season. "I didn't realize how good (Camby) was from the outside looking in. He covers the rim, he rebounds, he understands the game, he's really smart. I can't say enough about him. I didn't realize how good he was until I got here and saw him play live."

Another recent convert is Nuggets coach George Karl. Like Person, Karl has been around the NBA since Camby was a rookie in 1996-97. </div> Source
