Washington:

[*]Who Will Play SF?- Who the hell is going to start the game for us at SF? Jamison is doubtful, they say questionable..but he is more than likely doubtful..Hayes and Jeffries are out...are we going to to go really small and start Hughes or Profit there? Uh oh, not good...
[*]Continue Rebounding Kwame- His 9 pt chip ins are great, but what is even better is his 12+ rebouding nights. With Jamison looking cloudy for this one, we are going to need another repeat performance from his Charlotte game...I am hoping for 17 and 12, but I will settle for 15 and 10.
[*]Gilbert- Ahh, he didn't have a great game last game against Charlotte, had knee pains when he woke up and it clearly affected his game. We are going to need him to have a good game here, no sloppy passes, limit turnovers, get assists, boards, and of course..points.
Knicks:

[*]Take Control of Game- With the Wizards struggling lately, playing sloppy basketball and all, the Knicks should open up this game and try to make sharp, crisp passes while playing good, tight D. Get the Wiz to force some turnovers and force them to struggle, that will be an easy win for the Knicks.
[*]Jamal- With one of the better defenders in the game on him, how will he play? Force shots? I think he needs to limit what he tries to do, he can't try to do too much with Larry Hughes on him. He needs to protect the ball and not let Hughes get any swiped at it, because Hughes is leading the league in steals...any turnovers like that will lead to quick and easy buckets for the Wiz.
[*]Offensive Boardst- Kwame and Haywood have been all over the boards lately, the Knicks need to get some offensive boards and get their scorers 2nd chance opportunities if they want to win.
Timon: Gee. He looks blue.
Pumbaa: I'd say brownish-gold.
Timon: No no no no, I mean he's depressed.
Pumbaa: Oh

Prediction
Should be a good, close game all the way through..without Jamison..I don't know..but I am still giving the nod to the Wiz...102-100.

Jamison isn't playing?? I think it's even more of a wrap because we are playing at home. Knicks by 9.

Nope, I wouldn't say that..Jamison has been virtually ineffective for the longest time now...he has been ineffective since atleast the Bulls game...where Jeffries went down.

Jamison isn't playing, but I wouldn't really say it's a bad thing. Jamison is good an all, but I don't know, it could mean more touches for Kwame and Haywood which would be very nice.

The Knicks are on a roll, but I think the Wizards can take this one in a fairly close game. Wizards 105 - Knicks 99. Arenas and Hughes should have very big games today, and I expect Kwame to do fairly well himself.

Yes, but the thing that is making me say Knicks is because they are playing at home. The Knicks have won 7 of their last 8 at home including a very winnable OT loss against the Heat. The Knicks can contend with anyone at home and the Wizards losing 20 points and 8 rebounds will really be somewhat tough for them, especially with the Knicks exuding so much confidence. Tim Thomas has been killing as of late. Malik Rose and Mo Taylor have been good for us and have not caused the friction that many impliead a couple of weeks ago. The Knicks playing at home and the MSG atmosphere will propell the Knicks to a good win.

Yeah I take the knicks to win this one also. Tim "The False" Thomas might have another good game if there isnt a good defender on him.

mrj18 Postgame Show NYK: 93 WAS: 83

At least we win! I wasn't watching this game, but I listened to it on the radio. Both teams shot poorly. The defense for the Knicks was tough I guess. No one shot the ball exceptionally well. Marbury, and Crawford and Tim Thomas were cold. At least I heard hands were in the air and players were busy instead of standing around like most games. It was also a double digit victory which is showing improvement. We also closed out the game! We are only getting more confidence at home.

The Knicks have won 5 of their last 6 (5-1 since the trades) With this win and a Nets loss, the Knicks will be 3rd in the Atlantic and only 3 games behind Philadelphia. The Knicks advance to 26-34 of the season and face the Seattle Supersonics next on Sunday. That's 4 days in between for rest. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Good thing is we can watch it on MSG (NBA TV).

Ladies and Gentlemen, that's it for the mrj18 postgame show. Good night, and God bless! [IMG][IMG]

Well...the Knicks win another one. Although I must say I am very unhappy on many levels. The Knicks are damaging their position in the draft. As if that wasnt bad enough Herb Williams is making me furious. How in God's name did Sweetney and Ariza so few minutes??? I dont care if the Knicks were winning without playing them. Their development is more important than making the playoffs this season. And to top it all off Bruno Sundov is not getting any touches in garbage time. Is Herb Williams deaf?? Can he not hear the people calling for Bruno Sundov?? I'm very angry right now. I was behind Herb before but if this keeps up I will call for him to be fired!

I was able to watch the game through CSN, [IMG].Knicks win 5 out of 6 and pulls in 3rd of the atlantic. The refs kinda gave us the game there in the second half giving us a few breaks and did anybody saw that awesome off the glass dunk by Crawford? Man, that was great play there. Sweetney didn't have a great effieciency, but we still win 93-83. [IMG]

Me and mrj18 have the same exact thing (IO Digital Cable), but he no longer has MSG, though I do.

Anyway, I wanted to know if I could help in doing previews for Knicks games. I'd like to do the next game, which is the Sonics game, and hopefully the rotation could continue to flow. But if anybody has a problem with that, I'll just move to the bottom of the rotation. Doesn't matter much to me.

Crawfords dunk made me do a little dance.

Great all-around game, when at times it looked like we were going to fold and let the Wizards get the best of us, we pulled it together and made key baskets. The Knicks are playing real well right now.
